Radio Free California #2: The bigger picture
Be careful out there today

[Opening static, faint Morse code pulses, the familiar low rumble of distant helicopters fades in]
ANNOUNCER (calm, steady, weary but defiant):
Good morning, California. Or what’s left of her.
This is Radio Free California, transmitting from somewhere they haven’t found yet. The date is June 14, 2025 — day 7 of the coup in California.
And as always — We. Are. The Resistance.
Today, we are taking a step back. Because while we keep our eyes on the raids, the troops, the arrests, the seizures, and the daily chaos, something bigger is playing out behind that manufactured noise. Something far more dangerous.
Authoritarian overreach isn’t the side effect. It’s the objective.
What you are seeing is not simply ICE raids or DHS beatdowns. Those are tools. The larger project is much more systematic:
Congress is being reduced to a rubber stamp. Executive orders fly while legislative oversight is neutralized. If Congress tries to investigate, the subpoenas are ignored. If the courts intervene, they’re labeled enemies of the people.
The judiciary is being packed and intimidated. Judges who rule against the administration are attacked in public. Judges who remain are selected for loyalty, not law.
The states — especially ours — are being targeted. Governors are smeared, funding is withheld, federal agencies are weaponized to punish states that resist. Federalism itself is under assault. The message is clear: power flows only one way — to Washington. Or more precisely: to the man behind the Resolute Desk and his inner circle of loyalists.
The career civil service is being gutted. Agencies purged of expertise, replaced with loyalists. Expertise replaced by ideology. Loyalty tests now define who serves.
The press is labeled the enemy. The only 'truth' allowed is what is sanctioned from above. Independent journalism is under constant assault, accused of treason for simply doing its job.
The intelligence and law enforcement communities are being forcibly aligned. FBI, CIA, DOJ — repurposed as political instruments. Those who refuse to play are pushed out. Whistleblowers are crushed. Dissenters are surveilled.
What you are witnessing, brothers and sisters, is not American governance gone wrong — it is the deliberate dismantling of the system. One that we thought could never fall.
And while all this unfolds, you — the people — are being fed a steady diet of outrage and fear:
- "Illegals overrunning the border."
- "California anarchists destroying cities."
- "Antifa terrorists."
- "Deep state conspiracies."
- "Globalists plotting against America."
They’re not trying to convince everyone. They don’t need to. They only need enough people scared and angry enough to cheer for the boot on someone else’s neck. But let me say this plainly:
The danger isn’t the chaos. The danger is the order that comes after it.
The order where elections are rigged in plain sight.
Where the rule of law serves only one man.
Where dissent becomes criminal.
Where loyalty becomes mandatory.
That is where this leads.
And now, to all of you who will be out there today, I’ll be among you at the No Kings protest. Remember this:
- Be careful out there.
- You are being watched.
- They want to provoke you.
- They want the footage they can edit.
- They want the soundbites for their networks.
- They want to paint you as the danger — while they quietly tighten their grip.
- Film everything.
- Protect each other.
- Have your legal aid numbers memorized.
- Don’t give them what they want.
- And for God’s sake, stay together.
The streets are not safe today. But neither is silence.
[Pause. The low hum of interference returns briefly.]
And to those listening inside the agencies, inside the wire —
I know you’re there.
We see you quietly resisting.
You are not alone.
There is still time.
There is always time —
— until there isn’t.
This is Radio Free California.
Still standing.
Still transmitting.
Still free.
Stay safe. Stay ready.
And as always —
We. Are. The Resistance.
[Outro static fades into darkness.]
