Nicola Sturgeon: Truss is Arrogant and Igorant.

SNP Holding Conference in Aberdeen.

SNP Leader: Nicola Sturgeon.

Nicola Sturgeon and her Scottish Nationalist administration have been in power for 15 years. In that time in 2014 Scotland voted to stay in the UK and the UK left the EU. Answerable to Westminister Scotland now has a greater degree of autonomy. However, the idea of Scotland being a sovereign nation and rejoining the EU still burns bright.

Sturgeon wants another referendum next year on Scottish self-determination. How this will be triggered while the UK government will veto it remains to be seen.

Meanwhile at the Scottish National Party's conference in Aberdeen spokesman Keith Brown is expected to condemn Liz Truss. Mr Brown is expected to say that if Boris was not suitable to be UK Prime Minister Liz Truss is the same. In his speech Mr Brown will say Ms. Truss is a symptom of the dysfunctional Westminister system. Mr. Brown will say Truss is a symbol of chaos and confusion.

As evidence Mr Brown will say look at her mini-budget. Lifting the cap on bankers bonuses, tax policy benefiting the wealthy, pensions at risk for millions. Having to do a major u-turn on her tax policy that would only benefit the rich.

Nicola Sturgeon for all her harping on about Scottish independence has English relatives. Apparently, her grandmother was from the English city of Newcastle.

Ms. Sturgeon in a recent interview said Liz Truss was ignorant and arrogant. Ms. Sturgeon referenced David Cameron, Theresa May, and Boris Johnson. Saying when they became Prime Minister they telephoned her to strike up a working relationship. As UK PM whether with you agree with Sturgeon or not you have to have a professional relationship with her. That also goes for the Welsh First Minister of Labour Mark Drayford. It is constitutional and correct as long as the UK remains in its present devolved form.

The fact that Truss has not spoken formerly to Sturgeon may be an oversight on the Prime Minister's part. Or it could be Truss really has no time for Sturgeon and therfore speaking to her is low down on her list of priorities. On the other hand, Ms. Sturgeon could phone Truss and as usual with politics, there are two sides to every story.

When Truss and Kwarteng announced their budget it was universely condemned. The mini-budget panicked the financial market and caused the Pound to crash. The Bank of England had to intervine to steady the economy such was the storm over this Tory mini-budget.

The SNP spokesman Keith Brown will say that the Conservatives have brought nothing but dispair in their 12 years in government. From austerity to Brexit this government's policies have made broken Britain even more broke.

The term 'broken Britain' was coined by David Cameron when he became Prime Minister in 2010. Mr Cameron said he wanted to fix the broken, dysfuntional, society the UK had become. Instead he and Chancellor Osborne's plans wrecked and ruined the lives of many poor people in the UK.

Mr Johnson as the third UK Conservative Prime Minister said austerity had been wrong. That the Conservatives would never again inflict such draconian policies on the lowest in the hierarchy of UK society. He said he would reward the country for making him Prime Minister by levelling up deprived regions. How successful this has been is a matter of opinion.

Now with Truss in the driving seat in No 10 it seems austerity is back with a bang. One good thing came out of Mr. Kwarteng's mini-budget. Support for Sir Keir Starmer shot through the roof. Proving that this corrupt and useless governments days are indeed numbered.
