Nancy Pelosi’s Husband Was Almost Killed

On Friday, Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi was attacked by an intruder with a hammer in his own home. The 82-year-old husband of the House Speaker was at his home in San Francisco when confronted by the burglar.

“Where’s Nancy?” He asked Paul.

David DePape, a 42-year-old man with a penchant for conspiracy theories relating to anti-vax Covid views, the stealing of the 2020 presidential election, and the Trump-led January 6th attack on the Capitol stood face to face with Nancy’s senior citizen husband.

Paul Pelosi somehow managed to call 911 with his cell phone during the ordeal with the intruder. DePape attempted to tie him up and mentioned that they’d wait until Nancy returned home. She was in Washington D.C. at the time, so who knows how long they’d have waited.

The police arrived shortly before 2:30 am. They entered and found DePape and Paul Pelosi struggling over a hammer. They then witnessed DePape strike the 82-year-old man numerous times with the hammer, causing a skull fracture and injuries to his arms and hands.

DePape was then tackled and arrested. He’s now going to likely be charged with attempted homicide, assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, burglary, and other felonies. In short, he’s fucked.

I’m not sure what these Trumpers are hoping to accomplish with the recent uptick in political violence, but it’s not going to work. If an 82-year-old man can hold his own against a 42-year-old dipshit with a hammer, your party is fucked. Grow a pair of balls and come step to us.

You think that violence is the answer because you don’t agree with the politics of the Democratic, liberal side? Remind me again, what exactly is our crime other than caring for marginalized groups and wanting people to be able to eat and have housing? Veterans, children, and others should not be hungry in this country.

Or for our LGBTQ friends and family to be able to exist without being discriminated against, intimidated, or even violently assaulted, possibly killed? It happens. Transphobia is a real thing. It’s disgusting, cowardly, and wrong. We won’t tolerate it.

So this deranged person wanted to KILL Nancy Pelosi and her elderly husband over POLITICS? Again, with his right-wing conspiracy theory rhetoric he’s been spewing on his Facebook page, it’s easy to determine that he’s an unhinged person.

We don’t kill over politics, America. We need to be better than that. For all of the news stories you’ve seen in your lifetime, coverage of foreign countries where war is frequent, genocide, likely, do you really want to see that here in the United States of America?

UNITED States of America. What would that feel like, here in 2022? The last time I felt our country truly felt united was September 11th, 2001. We were attacked on our own soil and almost 3000 normal everyday American citizens died. Just like that.

We were scared to death. Then there was outrage and anger. Then we felt close. Most Americans quit worrying about the left and right and started caring about wrong and right. We were united in getting revenge for those horrific attacks. We quit hating each other long enough to hate a common enemy instead.

Sadly, our country seems further divided now more than I ever remember in the 21 years since the attacks. I truly believe we’d have to get nuked by Russia or China to be able to stand with one another against evil once again. It’s not as cool when the evil resides within your own borders.

Incidents of deranged, conspiracy-driven MAGA citizens resorting to violence and attempted murder are unacceptable. We need to sit down like adults, talk this bullshit out, and quit fucking demonizing every person we don’t agree with about politics. We will never be a strong country when we’re so goddamn divided.

We must make an example of David DePape. We need to send a clear message to the United States that this shit will not be tolerated. It is unacceptable to break into a politician’s family home and almost kill their 82-year-old spouse. Anyone who condones this shit is deranged and wrong.

We need to drop our pride and learn to listen. We talk far more than we listen, anymore. Social media needs to stop pushing the divide between Democrats and Republicans. We need to use some common sense.

Our grandparents would have spanked our asses for the way we treat each other. Did their generation threaten the other side with violence, guns, or anything else? Did they have people sneaking into prominent politicians' homes to beat their brains in with a hammer? No. Shit was different back then.

We need to return to the level of respect and manners that the older generation had. Let’s start with calling each other “Sir or Ma’am”. Perhaps we can quit crying about losing elections and claiming that they were stolen. It sounds so ignorant and ridiculous when people cannot accept defeat and hope for the best with the new leadership of our nation.

Our country will never be “great again” if we don’t start accepting our differences, find our similarities, and remember our fucking manners. If we could just respect each other, mind our own business, and watch our neighbors' backs, the United States would be closer to being great again.

Let’s do this no matter who they worship or who they choose to love. Let’s keep our political views to ourselves in a public setting, be cordial toward one another, and love our country enough to love each other. Who’s with me? &:^)
