One of the most significant issues of our times (the 2nd Amendment), and I've yet to dedicate a single one of my 113 published blog posts to it. "Got to do better!"- The late, great Charlie Murphy.

I was originally planning to just attempt to get a roughly 160 word piece on the matter approved by the mods (moderators). Primarily for the sake of killing two birds with one stone, quite frankly.

Not only would I potentially get my second poem to this superb site published. However, I'd let there be no questioning where I stand on such a vital circumstance.

To be sure, I'll still include my social media comment from a couple hours ago, that was the main catalyst for this post, near the very end. I just can't believe that I waited til the 25th hour to actually take an official stance here.

"Live, learn, then get [a .338 Lapua]." Seriously tho, how did we go from firearms safety and target practice reportedly in high school basements across the country, to "Defenseless Victim Zones"; as they're sometimes known?

This happened in less than a few generations, based on my understanding. Honestly, I'm pretty sure that it's mainly thx to what I believe are the worst aspects of American society.

Namely, we arguably personify willful ignorance, extreme gullibility, and overwhelming apathy. We have become a cross between the Asch Conformity and the Stanford Prison Experiments, IMHO (In My Humble Opinion).

No disrespect to the deceased. Tho, I highly doubt that the notorious (George) Orwell would be having any reaction save uncontrollable blushing, at his debatably lowballed predictions; if he somehow came back to see the state of the world today.

Before we allow the dearly departed to attempt to rest, I gotta ask: How many fine, upstanding citizens would be still alive if they weren't legally disarmed odiously hypocritical pols (politicians)? I have a sneaking suspicion that it's more than one or two.

I've yet to watch the full docufilm, "No Guns for Negros". Conversely, I can never forget that the trailer to it alleged that the origins of modern gun control are in the seemingly forgotten efforts to keep formerly enslaved individuals from returning fire (aka shooting back) at murderous Ku Klux Klan members.

The racist who were running the country quickly realized that they wouldn't really be able to do more atrocities after the Civil War if they were constantly worried about their lynch mobs and such getting picked off by fed up Blacks with well-aimed rifles. That's just "actually factually" and "duly truly" what the sitch was.

I'll let y'all do your Googles, as usual. Just know, before you come at me sideways; off the strength that my facts are offensive to your ignorance, "I'm willing to die on this hill."

Prior to the aforementioned social media comment, I just wanna recommend one more docufilm, that I've actually seen; and make a reference to one of my fav colloquialism jokes.

1.) Aaron Zelman's '03 hidden gem, Innocents Betrayed. I don't remember much about it; other than my belief that remaining pro-gun control after watching it objectively is all but wholly infeasible.

I'm incredulously doubtful that it wouldn't be somehow mandatory viewing if it had the opposite effect. I wish that weren't the case; tho, "such is life."

2.) I'm firmly of the opinion that we need to start teaching our children, especially the young and responsible daughters, that most concealable firearms "identify" as rape whistles. The fact that "rape whistle" is even a term incenses me!

If we were to tell all of our pols that "guns make [them] less safe". Then we inform them that we're rescinding practically all of their PSDs (Personal Security Details) effective immediately...

Just know: They'd hear nothing of the sort, unfortunately. Almost certainly, there'd be vociferous opposition from the "representatives" post haste.

Additionally, there's a reason that we put the same semis (semi-autos [semiautomatics]) Biden openly states (even recently!) he wants to banned, in virtually every major bank branch during Bizz hours. Meanwhile, we allow our children to remain easy prey; in a sense.

As a Girl Dad, I find this baffling; bewildering; and befuddling. What the hell do I know, tho?

I'm just a Coincidence Theorist, and an "extremist"; who believes that we were never supposed to live in fear of our govt. Crazy, right?

Also, Rest In Power to all the victims of American massacres. Malicious and nearly indiscriminate destruction; oft purely motivated by racism, bigotry, and envy.

I'm including a list of several such blatant examples of the utter failures in this "experiment in ordered Liberty" below. Don't expect to read about majority of these in even the most current of American textbooks today.

Wouldn't want We The People to realize that the impoverished are essentially the new second class citizens... Rumor has it tho, there's no such thing.

Just the enslaved and the enslavers. In short, another of my all time fav quotes clearly asserts: "Free [people] have [fire]arms; slaves do not."- William Blackstone.

Lastly, the Black Codes are self-evidently the precursor to the restrictions on the Second Amendment. If that's not quite a palpable truth to you just yet, remember that what's illegal isn't always morally nor lawfully wrong.

Just ask Hitler.

If it were actually legal to defend ourselves in "The Free State", [the attempted armed carjackers] would've likely never tried [to catch you in your own driveway]. The only matters most criminals fear is getting hurt and/or getting caught.

Meanwhile, we have to write a letter to a judge explaining why we believe that we deserve our God-given right to selfdefense. Off duty cops can carry their weapons whenever, wherever.

Nevermind the paid training that they get. On the flip side, we get blue emergency phones and mace for our protection.

How has seemingly no one ever asked the elected "leaders" why they're Fams and themselves are protected by high quality firearms? In the hands of well trained professionals; no less. On the other hand, our children get "gun free zones"?

I can just about get sent on a mission with nothing but a pistol, in Iraq; back in '09. However, I'd have to wait til mid Spring of 2010 if I wanted to buy a pistol back in The States?

"Make. It. Make. Sense!" Please & thx.

The New York Draft Massacre of 1963.

The Greenwood District of Tulsa, Oklahoma (aka Black Wall Street) Massacre of 1921.

Too many more to mention in a mere 1,500 words...

Prayerfully, someone somewhere gets something pertinent (re: useful) from this post. If that somebody's you, then please think about considering a Like/Tip/Share/Sub/Pledge, and/or checking out some of my other posts.

I'm easily reachable on Twitter; for private and/or public convos on the works written by me, my favs, as well as my other influences. Apparently, there aren't any other profiles for a "Darrius Unity", nor a "Nefarious Darrius".

Two R's in my name. Same account, undoubtedly.

Lastly, if you're in the market for an article of clothing or two, there's a link in my bio. Please don't think for a minute that I will be even remotely unappreciative of any all who "look out for the cookout".
