THE TUDOR ERA
The Tudor Era is the period between 1485 and 1603 in England and Wales, and includes the Elizabethan period during the reign of Elizabeth I until 1603. This Era coincides with the dynasty of the House of Tudor in England whose first monarch was Henry VII. The historian John Guy argues that “England was economically healthier, more expansive, and more optimistic under the Tudors” than at any time in a thousand years.

Report on 2020 Democratic National Convention, Day 1
I thought the first night of the 2020 Democratic National Convention, the first virtual convention ever held, was truly effective. Not only because of what the well-known speakers said, which was passionate and true and highly effective, but also because of several speakers I don't recall seeing before at any national political convention.

THE YEAR IS 2020
2020 has been...trying (and I say trying with a deep and heavy sigh) for a multitude of reasons. Maybe it’s something about my experience in American where I can look danger in its face and simply not care. I’m only 27 years old, so being an adult in America has been a new experience with a steep learning curve. I look around and ask myself, how on earth did we get here? But as I think about the American experiment, I realize that America has always been crazy. Perhaps, no fuck that, definitely even crazier. But for some reason, it seems like we as a country have gone off the deep end. Maybe it’s just youthful naivete, you know...not being alive for the ‘80s and barely conscious of the world around me in the ‘90s. But since the year 2000, as far as I can see, America has been pridefully down with the fuck shit and destruction. Fast forward two decades later, and here we are. A racist reality TV show president and a deadly disease ripped from the script of an apocalyptic Hollywood horror movie looming over the economy. So here we are, some of us at home trying to keep our own lives from falling apart while others go out and work for a wage that is simply unsustainable in this present economy while risking their lives to do so. Because we all know we’re going to die one day, but we pray that that day isn’t anytime soon.

Despite the Biden/Harris Problem
Despite the Biden/Harris Problem Like many voters, I’m not a fan of Biden/Harris. We don’t need to discuss the many reasons why, but I understand the sentiment. It will literally hurt me to cast my vote for the Biden/Harris ticket, but I will.

The President of the United States Wants to Steal the Election
The President of the United States is openly attempting to steal the upcoming election. In extraordinary comments to Fox Business News on Thursday, August 13, 2020, he plainly stated that he is blocking legislation to provide the United States Postal Service (USPS) with $25 million in emergency funding because they need that money to process the millions and millions of mail-in ballots. He has installed flunky and donor, Louis DeJoy, as the Postmaster General. Under the direction of the president, Mr. DeJoy has stopped all overtime pay and is removing mail sorting machines from post offices and mailboxes from street corners countrywide. His actions are now being reviewed by the USPS Inspector General for violations of federal ethics rules.

Lets talk....
As a mother to a 1y.o child, thoughts go threw my mind daily. As a essential employee, working 36hours a week to 20 maybe 22 if lucky. Daily I put not only myself but my households health in danger. I ring out hundreds of people on a daily basis face to face. Handling their groceries, taking their cash and even helping them when needed. On top of this I have been doing online classes as well. Try to do it between my daughters nap schedule or when sleeping. which isn't at all easy, if your a parent you can relate. Some nights I will stare at my child and think, is this job worth risking my health or bringing something home to my daughter. Yes most weeks I max out at four-hundered a paycheck, making it able to put rent aside with enough left to pay bills and support my daughter. Its now getting into the fall/winter season so who knows how my checks will be. Not to mention my landlord isnt the best.
