Cosmetic Damage — Was the Grenfell Fire a Consequence of Gentrification?
Brutalist architecture is one of the most divisive styles currently in existence. I have no doubt that in future, we will come up with something even more controversial, or ugly, depending on your viewpoint. Grenfell Tower was originally designed in this style. I say originally, because the infamous cladding brought its external appearance more up-to-date, closer to the style of 21st-century builds.

The American Folly
The American political climate is extremely volatile, and extremely close to an explosive, catastrophic meltdown. Our President can’t seem to take his thumbs off the screen of his smartphone, moving us ever closer to an all-out nuclear war with “The Hermit Kingdom.” Defending his actions the same way a child would after pushing a kid off the slide on the playground; not with an intellectual argument, but with denial and name calling. Our post-9/11 nation has become less safe than ever. We are a paranoid nation that is quite literally surrounded with artillery, with 112 guns for every 100 citizens. We, however, are not paranoid enough to question those in command of us; America was founded on the idea that we can freely speak up against whoever leads, but we’ve become too sheep-like to say something about the felonious nature of our government.

As a Taiwanese
One question that I'm most frequently asked abroad is: "Are you Chinese?" and whoever that question comes from, I always respond with, "No, I'm Taiwanese." Though, to some extent, this is the answer that some Taiwanese might say otherwise, and this has always been controversial.

The Standing Rock Series: The Calm Before the Storm. Top Story - January 2018.
This was during my second trip to Standing Rock; camp had grown significantly in a short time after I left from a few hundred to a couple thousand people. It was in that time we had many successive peaceful actions that were truly beautiful to be a part of. I would call this the calm before the storm, for soon they brought heavier violence upon us.

How to Improve Government Involvement in the Unholy Trilogy
I have collected here three smaller arguments that the federal government has decided to lump together under the ATF. Should any of these need elaborated upon further, I may one day write an entire blog on one part of this, but for now this will suffice.

The Standing Rock Series
When this journey began, this chapter I should say, I did not know truly what to expect, but I knew it was somewhere I was meant to be. Every now and then, there are moments in life that come to you that you know that you are meant to live... Like a deep calling, it stirs the fires of passion within your soul, it's a sense of knowing...

The end of South African apartheid was a resounding human rights victory heard around the world. It was from the years 1948 to 1994 South Africa was under rule of systematic racial oppression that came to be known as apartheid. Twenty-three years after apartheid's abrogation, four major consequences can be noticed in the following areas: education, the economy, racism, and government. Invasion of the Gays
For thousands of years, The Heterosexuals have roamed the earth, living together in harmony, but the peace quickly came to an end when the 21st century rolled around. A never-before-seen species began to sprout like weeds among them; The Homosexuals, more commonly known as "The Gays." Although both sides swim in the same pool of genetic makeup—Homo Sapiens—The Gays are still an obvious danger to the rest of mankind.

Why I Want to Run for Office
I want to make a difference in the world. First I’m going to get onto the Work2Future board in San Jose, which meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month. I can get to this meeting, first thing. Second, I have to run for District 10, or my home district. I want to get more involved with District 10. This is the same reason I want to run for office in the California State Senate. I went to see the State Senate both in 8th grade for a class trip to Sacramento, and in junior college with student government. I can start off by becoming a City Commissioner appointed for three years. I can also become a District 10 volunteer. There is even a way to become a city volunteer.
