Mr. Trump's Economic Playbook
Click for AUDIO VERSION. At a recent Trump Rally in Tampa, the president put on a clinic for Republican candidates going into the midterm elections. Basically, he is selling prosperity, or, to paraphrase an expression from Jerry Maguire, "Show them the money!" More than anything, it is the booming economy that will drive voters in the fall. If I heard the president correctly, the Mueller probe has essentially burned itself out, the visceral rhetoric of the left is a turnoff to Independents, and the Democrats have nothing to offer except for socialism, higher taxes, and more crime resulting from unprotected borders. It is the economy, though, which people seem to grasp, thereby providing more jobs, and allowing workers to earn more money. This is an important lesson for all Republican candidates, be it for Congress, state, county, or municipal office.

They often choose the streets, despite the fact that 700 people die from hypothermia every year because of homelessness, according to NPR, Talk of the Nation, and the National Coalition for the Homeless.

'Death of Socrates' Painting Analysis
A well-known painter in the neo-classical era, Jacques-Louis David became one of the most famous artists in history with his impactful works of art. With pieces such as the Oath of Horatii,The Death of Marat, and Napoleon crossing the Alps to have become cult classics of the neo-classical era, it is not a surprise that the artist would attempt to illustrate what some may agree as one of the many mistakes of humanity. The death of Socrates, as depicted by Jacques-Louis David, shows the regret and sorrow derived from within this act, just as it shows Socrates' commitment and sacrifice to his work as a philosopher.

When the Kingston Trio came out with their rendition of "Greenback Dollar" with the lyrics saying, "I don't give a damn about a greenback dollar I spend it just as fast as I can," today, half of that phrase is actually true. Too many of us continue to spend that greenback ever faster though. But, what we do care about is why that ever-disappearing dollar doesn't afford the things it used to. We do give a damn about every last dime that comes into our possession today.

Overcoming Fascist-Racism
The thing about hating somebody different from you is that you don’t get a chance to actually talk to this person. Talking to somebody different from you helps you overcome stereotypes, lack of knowledge, and, in general, the way racism can sink its teeth in you. The modern-day fascists are racist people who want to curb immigration completely. They support everything certain people do to stop it because the ban wasn’t totally successful. There is also such thing as being uncomfortable around people different from you. The key is to keep talking to them until you beat your discomfort.

Better Ways of Protesting the Alt-Right
I can’t go to protests since I get very stressed around violence, then you can figure out a way to protest with writing, song, poetry, fiction, journalism, and more. I want to give rise to my fiction again for starters, fiction about how fascism is overcome. Staying home, rather than counter protesting, is easier to deal with for some people because we do not have to face the negativity on the street. We don’t come home with injuries, fear, or anxiety from having to stare down the violence. I protest in my own way.
