Keep Elon Musk Out of The White House
Donald Trump's Elitist Billionaire Friends do not belong in our government!

Catch this: Donald Trump is considering giving Elon Musk a place in his administration if he wins this election. Yes, Elon Musk, of all people. If that isn't a conflict of interest, I don't know what is. Even more conflicting is that Musk would be in charge of a government efficiency commission. Yep, Elon Musk, whose "efficiency cleanup" of Twitter (now known as X) has resulted in a whopping 74% decline in its value. That's not the kind of person I would want in charge of a government efficiency program if I were president.
Musk has mentioned the solvency of Social Security and has stated it needs an overhaul. Something about this feels fishy to me—a billionaire in charge of a program that largely benefits middle-class and poverty-class people.
According to Musk, "America is going bankrupt extremely quickly," as he said at a recent appearance at the All-In Summit. Yet Musk pays less than 1% in taxes, and in some cases, zero—isn't that patriotic? Musk manipulates his stock investments and company ownership so that he can pay only $50,000 for a year's worth of earnings totaling in the hundreds of billions.
Musk has no interest in making the United States efficient and fiscally productive. He just wants to be there so he can affect the reduction of regulations, allowing him and his billionaire business owner friends to get away with whatever they want. He wants to be there so he can ensure that he and his billionaire friends get even bigger breaks on their taxes. They have no interest in doing what is right for the country. You know that, and I know that. Their only interest is self-interest. Not me!
We need a government and governmental commissions that have built-in checks and balances so that these commissions cannot get away with whatever they want. Giving a president and government officials immunity over everything they do is not the way to run a government. We cannot allow the politicians we send to the White House to get away with crooked schemes that only build up their wealth while we, the people, end up paying for it.
People, is that what we want in our government? Do we want it to be run by self-serving billionaires?
The Washington Post has stated that Trump's economic plan will add at least $4.5 trillion to the deficit over the next decade. In contrast, Harris could actually achieve some deficit reduction, depending on how much of the GOP tax cuts she opts to extend. At worst, her plan would increase deficits only modestly, by less than one-fifth of the Trump total.
In reviewing these cases, Kamala Harris’ economic plan appears to be more fiscally responsible while focusing on programs that aid and assist middle-class and poverty-class citizens. Her plan includes cutting taxes but also increasing federal revenue while decreasing the deficit.
Is Harris's plan perfect? Probably not. But I feel that I can trust her more than I can trust Donald Trump to work for the middle class and the poverty class. My perception—and again, this is my perception—is that Donald Trump wants to get in there primarily to affect policies that will benefit him and his billionaire friends. We've been down that path with Donald Trump already and it did not trickle down to us. It never trickles down to us and it never will.
So, I ask you, the readers of this article: Does Elon Musk have the best interests of the citizens of the United States in mind? Does he truly wish to serve the citizens of the United States in an unbiased and non-partisan manner?

Elon Musk get Congress approval first but we won’t have to worry about that when Harris win
Well stated
It's interesting seeing a lot of the anti-Trump/anti-Musk stuff online. A question I ask, and this is not one that actually needs an answer, but more of a self reflection is: Financially, are you well off? Do you live pay-check to pay-check or do you have a comfortable nest egg in case gas and food prices continue to climb? I ask this for self reflection, because many people prior to 2020 were already living pay-check to pay-check. When you raise gas, food, and housing by 50% or more, those ones either made some drastic cuts to their diet or some other important spending, or they are now homeless, living in the growing camps around cities and wondering where their next meal is coming from. We both have the same problem. A liberal/democrat government who champion social problems over economic ones. Our leader went even as far to say "I don't think about monetary policy" - Trudeau, August 2021. Which is very evident to Canadians now paying $4-5 for a loaf of bread, $3-4 for a chocolate bar, and $8-10 for a box of cereal. All while minimum wage is $15.20 in my home province. Two bags of groceries now is usually in the range of $150-$200 where those same groceries, pre-Trudeau ran me about $60 when it was $10.80 minimum wage. The same apartment that cost me $500/month back then, they now want $1500 or more. $2000+ if it's a 2 bedroom. And if what buddies south of the border are saying is true, you guys are facing the exact same problem since about 2020. Meanwhile you have a republican leader who fumbles a lot of his thoughts together or something he says is clipped to mean something he didn't even say and when he calls it out as a lie, a lot of media fail to fact check and see that he did indeed not say it as it was portrayed once you add the rest of what is said to it. He's an idiot socially, but like our conservative leader up here, while I don't agree with all his social policies, he has a plan for the economy of the country to set it right again. Poverty affects all the common people, no matter their political affiliation or skin colour. When we have leaders that come out and say the quiet part out loud that they don't think about it. We have a problem. As for tax write offs and lobbying, the worst lobbyists are corporations looking for tax breaks to give their CEOs and shareholders billions of $$$ that they've collected from everyday people. You'd be surprised if you dig a bit deeper on it. Musk has pretty much 100% of his money tied up in his companies that are striving to make a better life for our grandkids (him and us will not live long enough likely to see the success of what he's been working on) like his Neuralink startup that I've kept my eye on, he's aiming to give paralyzed people use of their limbs by using the chip to interact with the the body where the brain has lost connection. Then we have Harris who raised over $47million for her campaign in a few short days of Biden stepping down. That kind of money doesn't come without strings attached. Who do you think is lobbying the democrats, and what strings do you think they have in place that their CEOs can afford to donate to a political campaign with $100,000-$300,000 from their company that could've went toward their employees benefits? It's food for thought while prices continue to rise and neither of our current leaders have come forward with any firm plans to have those costs lowered within the next year. It's not a hard prediction to predict that continuing the current course of the way things have been, more people will be homeless and our grandchildren will end up paying even higher interest rates to cover the debts we are allowing to spiral out of control.
I despise both candidates and completely agree Elon Mollusk as I call him needs to shut the bleep up
Oh my, I missed this fresh horror...
"Leon," as Trump recently called him, certainly should not be granted any more political and cultural influence than he already boasts of rather loudly. As a Canadian observing this process from elsewhere, I am reluctant to give any advice to American voters, but your article is clear and persuasive!
Absolutely no way should a bunch of incompetent little rich boys manage our government. The only thing they manage is their own life and how they would do whatever they can to eliminate anyone that doesn't look like them, act like them or think like them
One answer to your two questions.......No.
Thoughtful discussion, Rick.
Neither Trump nor Musk should be anywhere close to our government.
I just published mine and saw you are in the some state of mind. Nicely researched.
