Imagine going to a country to live on a 3-month visa issued by Vlad "The Invader" Putin. Yes, that's right, folks, the Russian leader issued 3-month stay visas for people fleeing persecution as they see it. You would think who would feel persecuted in so-called liberal Western democracies?

Surely nations like the US, UK, Germany, France, etc, are better models for existence than a totalitarian nation like Putin's Russia? I think that for all the problems the West has, most people would agree. However, believe it or not, there are exceptions.

Take the Hare family from Texas, who accepted Putin's visa to go live in Russia. As devout Christians, some would call them right-wing, the very folk Trump is supposed to appeal to, felt persecuted in the US. They were fed up with being targeted because of their Biblical beliefs. Also, wherever they turned, the LGBTQ agenda was in their face. So they upped sticks and left for Russia. In Texas, like most gun-owning Americans, they had their own shooting range. Now they have swapped that for an apartment just outside of Moscow. The family say they feel much safer and securer than they did in "In The Home of The Brave"!! The Hare family have 3 sons, 17, 15, and 12. As many as 2,000 some odd people have left for Russia from Western countries. So the Hare's experience is not unique in that case.

Putin's 3-year residency visa does not require you to learn Russian. The visa system was set up in August 2024. The visa is set up for people for temporary residence if they share values and morals similar to those of Russians. As I said, language, culture, or legal system familiarity is not required. The visa is entitled the "Shared Values Visa". It is open to citizens of countries that Russia considers unfriendly. These unfriendly countries include the EU, UK, US, Australia, and others.

They are eligible for social benefits in Russia (pension, child payments, public healthcare), as with Native Russians. Eventually, citizenship of Russia is obtainable. The Hare family fleeing the US because they feel persecuted is the gold standard of why the visa was set up in the first place. Specifically for people who feel alienated and persecuted by woke agendas that seem to permeate Western countries.

Russia is obviously an oppressive place where freedom of speech is clamped down on. Where criticism of the government or the war with Ukraine can put you in a gulag. Russia feigns democracy, but in reality, candidates for president are controlled or arrested. And where Vlad the Invader always wins. Make no mistake, Russia is an implacable enemy of the West.

But we must realise, with the woke agenda governing our daily lives, whether it be ethnic minorities in ads being shown out of all proportion to their numbers vs the majority population ( I can only talk about the UK) or LGBTQ agendas everywhere, where Islam is seemingly promoted over Christianity, with unfettered migration changing the demographics of our countries, where the standard of living is through the roof, crime is out of control, many now feel alienated and that they are living in countries no longer welcoming to them.

Hence, this exodus of Christians and others to Russia is because they cannot live in countries that are now toxic environments for them. Once upon a time, people fled the former Soviet Union to escape to the West. No doubt, people today are still fleeing Putin's Russia. But it comes to a thing when people are fleeing the West to live in Russia because they feel persecuted in the West.
