Farage: Tommy Robinson in A Suit?

Reform Leader Nigel Farage.

Refrom Leader: Nigel Farage.

Nigel Farage posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) that the religious identity of the 17-year-old attacker was being held from the public. The police said the stabbings in Southport, north of Liverpool were not terror- related. False information was posted on social media about the fact that the 17-year-old attacker was a Syrian who had got to the UK by boat. Whereas the alleged identity of the attacker is British or Welsh born in Cardiff to Rwandan parents. The attacker is being held in police custody pending wider investigations. The police have steadfastly denied that the teenager is Muslim.

Mr. Farage speculated on the posting whether the police were being truthful about the attacker's religious identity. Mr. Farage speculated that the police withheld information about the faith of the attacker as they did not want trouble. The police for their part, have advised the public not to speculate until they know the full facts. Mr. Farage posted His video on X on Tuesday afternoon and in the evening riots outside a mosque in Southport broke out.

The attack involved the 17-year-old attacker who entered a building known as a "happy place". Young children were taking part in a dance based on Taylor Swift. The young attacker stabbed both children and adults. 3 girls died in the attack while 8 other children suffered stab wounds. 5 are critically wounded alongside two adults who are also critically wounded.

The riots are alleged to have been attended and possibly organised by the 'EDL' or 'English Defence League'. Rioters came from the Merseyside area and further afield. There followed a fracas between the police and the rioters. Rioters also surrounded a mosque and threw rocks, bricks, and anything else they could find. Muslims inside the building including the Imam, were terrified lest the rioters break in.

The following day the community of all faiths, races, nationalities, etc, came together to repair the damage. The attacker is being held in custody pending further investigations. Other forces were drafted in to confront the protestors in vans. Some of these vans were attacked and set on fire. The police in full riot gear with batons and shields fought running battles with rioters. Some police officers were injured alongside some police dogs.

The UK has witnessed a series of riots this summer. There were riots of Romanians and other nationalities over social services taking children away. Then after an incident between Muslims and police at Manchester airport Muslims surrounded a police station in a threatening manner. So this alleged EDL riot in response to the attack on these innocent kids is yet another one. There was also a riot of Bangladeshis in London.

The nation appears to be on a knife edge of anarchy. Many accuse the police of losing control of the streets of Britain. Gun and knife crime has risen. Some say there are no-go areas in the UK where law enforcement dare not set foot.

Others say there is two-tier policing. When people of other faiths, races, and other nationalities riot, the police seem to run away or handle it more softly. When it comes to Native British doing the same the police go in full force.

Nigel Farage in blaming Muslims has been labelled a "Tommy Robinson in a suit". Tommy Robinson the founder of the English Defence League is to some, a far-right activist. To others, Robinson is a modern-day Robin Hood or a white Nelson Mandela (as controversial as that sounds). Robinson has been active in leading protests against what he sees as the Islamification of the UK.

So, it is easy to see why Mr. Farage has been called "Tommy Robinson in a suit". As hated as Farage and Robinson are, many Britons agree with them.
