Donald.. Let's talk
Here is what you should know

Dear President Trump,
I would like to take this time to let you know how your time as president has affected my life and my family’s life. It seems that since you became president, you have tried so hard to make others lives less important than the lives of people you deem better and more superior than the rest of us. Let me tell you how you and your family and followers have made me and other feel.
Lets talk LGBTQIA+, it seems that you have made it your mission to make our love seem less than yours. You seem to think that trying to take our rights away everyway you could think of, would make us irrelevant. However, on the contrary, you made all of us stronger. No matter how hard you are your followers tried to knock us down, we just kept getting back up. You tried to strip us of our right to marry, because you feel that using religion in a negative way would get you to your goal. You have tried so many ways to try and tear down the LGBTQIA+ community and I am here to say that it didn't work. I am really not sure why who we love and want to marry affects your life and religious beliefs in any way. But President Trump, it didn't work.
Trump, I have a question, that you will never have an answer to, but I will ask anyway: Why are you afraid of women? I cant understand why you talk down to women and treat them as though they are less than. I cant understand why you feel that you can do whatever you want to do to women and they are supposed to take it. I would ask how you would feel about someone doing that to your daughter, but I already have my answer. I wonder what happened to you that you are so scared of women, especially educated women who don't give you what you want. If it wasn't for a woman you wouldn't be here. I will never understand your deep rooted issues with woman. No matter how much you try to take away from us and no matter how much you try to keep us down, it will not work. But, President Trump you have not succeeded, we are strong, educated and your plan didn't work.
When we talk about the African American community it seems that we are were another part of your agenda to create fear in others. I really can't figure out how we are a threat to your world. We as a community are like any other community, we try our best to be better. Over the years, we have always been belittled and made to feel like we are less than based on the color of our skin. Martin Luther King Jr said " Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." It seems that before you took office we did not fear for our lives as much as we do today. I don't ever remember having any trepidation going to the grocery store, getting gas, walking down the street or getting stopped by police and never coming home. I can't wrap my mind around the fact that you feel that you are better than everyone, especially African Americans. President Trump, no matter how much you think you have succeeded in pushing your agenda, you have not. We will once again, become "one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all", just as the Pledge of Allegiance states.
President Trump, one more question, what is your fear of immigrants coming to the US for a better life. I don't understand how you could be against immigrants, when your ancestors are from Germany, and you mother is from Scotland. Also, lets talk about your first wife Ivanka is from Czechoslovak and Melania is from Slovenian. If I am correct, you would also be considered being from an immigrant family that came to the US for a better life. It seems to me that you are no better than anyone. Most citizens from the United States of America are from immigrant families. If you are not sure where you live, I can refresh your memory, you live in the United (means unity) States of America.
I feel that this is something that I have been wanting to say to you since I realized what you wanted to do to the progress we have made as a nation. My father is African American, my mother is from Mexican/Hispanic decent. I am a woman and a lesbian. I realized based on the message you were sending to the American people, I was the person you were trying to get people to fear. I am just as important as any other American citizen. As President of the United States of America, you are supposed to do everything you can to take care of the American people. But all that you have done is taken care of yourself, your family, your rich friends and have chosen to insight hatred among certain individuals.
As your day as President come to an end, I hope you realize that all the people you tried to keep down, will be the ones that will rise and bring this country together again. It will take a lot of hard work, but we will do it with pride and humility and if you choose not to be a part of it, that is your decision. We will unite together to get our country back to where we were 4 years ago, before you took office. So, my the last thing I have to say is Thank you for showing us the kind of person we don't want leading our country. January 20, 2021 will be a new day and the start to our journey of getting this country back to where we were and possibly in a better place than when you took office.
Sincerely,
Tasha Johnson
