Democrats rally behind Ilhan Omar, rebuke Trump’s insults after Minnesota town hall attack

US Representative Ilan Omar was attacked. This must not stand. No political violence against anyone involved in the body politic should stand. It is a significant and repugnant sign of the country’s dissolution into a lawless republic.

Omar and the Squad are despicable human beings. That should never give anyone impetus to throw a substance at her or anyone related to politics.

It’s a shame that President Trump did not have the decency to denounce his opponents words but support her nevertheless in a speedy recovery. Rep. Jasmine Crockett is standing behind Omar. Other democrats and allegedly some Republicans have shown themselves to be upright.

Omar is noxious as a politician but as a person who just encountered an attack, she should be protected from further assaults.

Even if the politician is horrific in her ideals, she still needs to be guarded so that she may feel safe and everyone else in the political sphere as well.

There is no place for this kind of aggression. And for the president to downplay the actions of brutes is ironic since he almost had his head blown off at a rally.

Trump should express his opinion of how toxic Omar is but that she did not deserve to be accosted. Of course Democrats are going to line up beside Omar. That’s expected but the leader of the free world should be the first to condemn the actions of cretins.

Omar has been representing her state of Minnesota regarding the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti primarily, and the protests overall. She is in favor of the rights of the people who have crashed private property. Now, ICE is a terrifying presence but if Omar wanted to really represent the people of her state, she would encourage them to demonstrate on their own private property.

After she recovers, she should take time to say the protests only fuel the ICE agents. All of the best ways to fend off the agents, stomping in the streets is not one. To take the time to show how this brings about more atrocities.

ICE should be dismantled and eliminated. Omar gets that. But she also feels that Somali people (her own lineage) should be held above other groups. This collectivist idea only festers because people fail to seek the sole political system related to human life: capitalism.

This is another reason why political violence ought to be stopped. Because of the fact cowards seek to obtain some thrill in attempting to or actually assassinating people related to the government, there will be more of these attacks.

But that doesn’t have to be. President Trump and Representative Omar both have the same goal but different means of getting there. Or at least they feel they do. They want to protect the individual rights of the American people, they can’t however because either of them knows what that entails.

Both the president and the representative show themselves to be abhorrent examples of folks that govern. Their inability to show their resolve in making America the safest place ever, is disrupted by their screwy politics.

Whether on the left or the right, they fail to account for the point of why they’re in office in the first place. Just as they should be protected, the American people ought to know they can be productive and selfish and rational. Only in a nation where rights are respected and upheld by officials can United States citizens feel safe to engage in such activities.

In an era where Americans seem divided, it shouldn’t be surprising that people take sides. The objective way to go is to bring about this knowing political violence is vicious and that everyone involved in politics should be met with reason, not force.
