Colin Kaepernick has more love for America in his one knee than Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell and almost every other Republican Elected Official seem to have in their entire bodies.
In the most shameful, undemocratic and un-American thing I have seen in my lifetime as an American Citizen I find it beyond shocking that there is no collective outrage among Republicans over Trump trampling on one of the founding principles that has always made America so special. America is not, and has never been a perfect Democracy, but we could always rely on the peaceful transfer of Government when an Election was over. America was always a Country where you could go to sleep on Election night, secure in the knowledge that you would wake up in the morning with a winner declared or soon to be and it would be democratic business as usual. As he has done every day he has occupied the White House, Donald Trump corrupts and destroys everything he touches. While I knew he was destroying America, I never imagined he would destroy American Democracy. I never imagined he would have so many fellow Republicans who would be complicit in destroying a country it is clear they don’t love or understand. As a Democrat I take no pleasure in writing this because the stakes are so very high. It is maddening and saddening to witness what is happening. I would never have imagined that so many would be complicit in this Unpatriotic atrocity.
Republicans remain silent as Donald Trump leads them in what amounts to an attempted coup. A coup aimed at disenfranchising millions of voters, in mostly Democrat run Cities. A Coup aimed to throw out votes cast mostly by Black Americans. Republicans are complicit in the Coup aimed to keep Joseph R Biden from taking his rightful place as America’s democratically elected president. Joseph R Biden who received the most votes for President in this Country’s history. President Elect Biden won the Electoral College with an advantage that Trump and and the Republican Party called a landslide four years ago. Republicans are Pretending they didn’t see the days and weeks of Americans lining up for hours to cast their votes. They are pretending that because of the pandemic they didn’t know record numbers of mail in votes would be cast. I am neither surprised nor shocked by Donald Trump’s actions. Soon to be Former President Donald Trump cares about no one but himself. He cares only for things that feed his ego and fill his pockets. Donald Trump is turning America into a Banana Republic because he can’t stand knowing that he is a Loser. He can’t stand knowing America has rejected him. He is willing to burn America to the ground desecrate what has made us that shining beacon of Democracy; our foundational principle of A Peaceful (and timely) transfer of Government. Let’s be clear, this Election was not close, it was a blowout. Donald Trump, his “ Lawyers” and and Every Republican Politican knows Trump lost. All you have to do is pay attention to the deafening silence of Republicans. If they believed he won, or that there was massive voter and Election fraud, they would be shouting it into every microphone they could stand in front of. All you have to do is listen to the arguments his “ Lawyers” are presenting in Court. When asked by Judge after Judge if they have any evidence of Election fraud, each and every time the answer has been NO, we have none. Each and every time when pressed and lectured by Judges all they can do is hang their heads in shame because they know there is no case to be made supporting Election Fraud. Pay attention to the arguments and statements these “Lawyers” make in front of the cameras, compared to what they are willing to say in court. When their Law licenses are on the line they tell the truth, no evidence of fraudulent votes exist. When they are at their “Press” Conferences no theory is too ridiculous and bizarre, no lie to outrageous to be told. The President’s Mouth pieces have accused Mobsters, Dead Presidents, Men in Black, Black Men, A woman who could be an Extra in My Cousin Vinny. They even pointed to food trucks that weren’t food trucks as being part of this alleged and still unproven fraud. I have to ask again when is a Republican elected Official or Politician going to love America as much as Colin Kapernic showed he did. When is a Republican Politician going to risk his or her career and subject themselves to death threats the way Kaepernick did to have America rise up and be the wonderful Country she is. I am shocked and heartbroken that this is what America has become, all in the service of A man who doesn’t understand or value democracy. shame on you Republicans. Our Founding Fathers are rolling in their graves no doubt shocked that the fabric of our Democracy is being shredded every day. It’s being shredded as we wait for Republicans en Masse to show they love and care about American a as much as a man who didn’t put his hand on a Bible and swear an oath to protect the Constitution. Republican Politicians remember how you were able to find every TV show, radio show, pod cast and Twitter feed to call Colin Kaepernic unAmerican and Unpatriotic because he respectfully took a knee in front of a flag or during the national Anthem to tell America she needed to be a better Country and fight police brutality on behalf of Americans of color. Well it’s time for you to find those same outlets to tell Donald Trump, a man who is violating the Oath he took to the Constitution and America that he lost and it’s time for him to concede and stop saying he was robbed of victory. It’s time for him to at least pretend he loves America.

A Society Strained by Isolation International sanctions, diplomatic isolation, and strained relations with the West have deeply affected daily life in Iran. While the government often frames resistance as a source of national pride, many ordinary citizens see isolation as a barrier to progress. Rising inflation, unemployment, and currency devaluation have eroded living standards, particularly for the middle and working classes. Young Iranians, who make up a significant portion of the population, feel this pressure most acutely. With limited job prospects, restricted travel opportunities, and a tightly controlled social environment, many believe their potential is being wasted. The phrase “in isolation, we’ll never flourish” captures a growing belief that economic resilience and cultural vitality require openness, not constant confrontation with the outside world. Protests as a Reflection of Everyday Grievances The protests seen in recent years are often portrayed by authorities as foreign-inspired or limited to small groups. Whether the Islamic Republic adapts, reforms, or faces a more dramatic transformation remains uncertain.
