They stand at the podium, still vociferating as everything crumbles around them...so immersed in glorifying themselves, they miss the cracks in the walls of humanity poised to fall on their egotistical heads, crushing them at the earliest opportunity.
Or maybe they think themselves immune to human revolt, safely shielded within the power they wield.
An overworked, underpaid, uncaring mob, inured to the blustering and rhetoric, throws missiles at the Old fashioned old timey soapbox podium with the sad skeletons of time as speakers.
Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah blah bl...
"What's he saying". I don't really care, asked carelessly.
"I don't know and don't much care, all I hear is, blah, blah, blah. Same old thing, different day". Bored and tired of the same shite, answered. Bleary eyed, in need of sleep, but has to get to work so as not to be late... Thinking how much the job sucks but it pays the rent and puts morsels on the table. Why should I go and vote for them rich powerful snobs who don't care a lickity split for me or mine?
I don't really care bobbed his head vigorously up and down in acquiescence, agreement and frustrated commiseration.
Everywhere you go the story is the same.
People are just feckin' gosh darned tired of it all.
Revolution by force only gets people killed, leading to looting, wanton murder and mayhem which ends badly for everyone.
Man invents laws which allows one jackass to rule the world unimpeded, with genocide, eradication of the innocent and general death by human pandemic of stupidity, being the end product. If one brave soul dares to intervene, (wink, wink)...to end the vicious cycle...they guillotine, hang, lock up and call them killers, not liberators.
The ones, called leaders, who seem to pop up from the woodworks like cockroaches who never fall ill and just die, appear unhindered and unstoppable.
Why does one man have such powers. He is not a God...nor superhero, he is an antihero, a villain, a mortal...so why is he allowed to wreck the lives of the innumerable souls suffering in silence with abstract acceptance.
What are we doing....really!
America is undergoing (TrumpFantasia) a modern day purge. The very people who joyfully voted in a "Robbing Hood", is seeing the system used against them...One could say, "serves you right for making a madman lead you, blindly serving his own purpose". (Don't they all though, with a few exceptions). Happily, the rich voted for him...they had their agenda well mapped out long ago. Also did they have the proletariat sighted in their binoculars as scapegoats for a financially gullible few who make up the Wealthy Minority with the 'mostess' v the Majority - the 'lot who manage', while sitting on the throats of the 'have nots'.
Putin, Ukraine, Iran, Syria, Haiti- Just about everywhere. Fergedaboudit! Cockroaches...they are everywhere.

Tyrants do not care, or listen to reason...narcissism courses through their veins. They have no feelings for the ordinary people...though indeed, we are extraordinary in our own rights.
We are a spinning merry-go-round of sameness. Electing clowns and jokers to lead us into the valley of the shadow of Death!
The pied piper leading the rats to a drowning with empty promises and evil smiles painted on wretched faces.
Subtly, we must rebel. Each subtility joined to a great big whole to dethrone the wrongs and bring peace and truth to the forefront again.
Did not many before us rebel, so that we would not have to. Maybe it is every generation for themselves...rings the town crier sadly, beneath the fake smile he wears to shield the plans for revolution.

So many evil men throughout history. It's maddening! Give a psycho power and they'll do exactly what they do and not only destroy lives but destroy our God-given faith in righteousness. The impact of their evil ways continues to create more bad actors. We just want to live peacefully just the way life was designed for. Excellent read, Novel! Got my blood pressure up, lol.
Why do we vote? Because not all who put themselves forward believe in a zero sum game of winners & losers but seek paths toward enabling win-win for all. And because otherwise we make ourselves complicit in their crimes. I, too, am made weary by the continuing triumph of right-wing (wrong-wing) media that claim their lies are the only truths worth believing. Still, we are called to carry on the good fight.
