A need for reform

The legal system is obsolete and needs to be changed.

The legal system in the United States is the most laughably pathetic institution in the whole world, next to that of Saudi Arabia and North Korea.

The mentally ill, people of color, those of low income, immigrants, non-heterosexuals, women, non-Christians, the list of people that the American legal system has a long list of failing people in this country due to abuse of power by the police, the courts and even politicians.

It needs to stop.

That is why I am writing a list of ideas of what legal reforms should be considered and made into law.

Author's Note: I am not a legal scholar or legal expert in any way, shape or form.

I am a very dissatisfied citizen of this country, and I feel I have a duty to promote change.

The Kyle Rittenhouse Law

Members of the Kenosha Police Department failed to stop Kyle Rittenhouse from fleeing the scene of the crime after he had committed the crime of shooting unarmed, peaceful protesters.

Therefore, the families of the victims (if not the victims themselves too) and the protest group should be able to sue any police department that allows this to happen.

Patients First Law

The various states throughout the country with their anti-abortion laws have endangered the lives of many women and girls throughout the nation, some even resulting in death.

Then of course you have families that are prepared to sacrifice their children because they believe that "faith" will cure them.

With that being said, the idea for this law would be where medical practitioners can refuse to obey the law if that law says let people die.

Not asking medical people to ignore their Hippocratic Oath. Just want them to save lives

The Bruce Schroeder Law

The name of the idiot Judge who was biased against the prosecution in the case against Kyle Rittenhouse and would not even let the prosecutor call the victims of Kyle Rittenhouse, victims.

Therefore, any judge who is that biased can find themselves up for disbarment and maybe even incarceration.

The War on Drugs Reparation Law

America's war on drug was the greatest scam and lie since the days of the Red Scare.

It wound up creating more economic and social problems.

Economics because it unfairly targeted people of low income while protecting those of a higher income. Those who did do the time got criminal records and could not find legitimate, stable work, thus making them a possible repeat offender.

Socially because it targeted African Americans, Latinos proving how racist it has been. It has also unfairly treated drug addiction properly by criminalizing drug users rather than treating their addictions as an illness.

Those who have suffered this injustice should not only be allowed to have their records expunged, but should also be allowed to sue the state for such unlawful confinement.

Juries Deserve to Know Law

How knowledge are juries of the Constitution? Civil Liberties? Human Rights? This is something that juries should know.

Problem is, if I were to hand out potential juries' copies of booklets on the US Constitution, Civil Liberties or even Human Rights, I would probably be arrested and charged for jury tampering, when how would that be jury tampering?

It's one thing for the court to not want to have a jury that's biased towards the Prosecution/Defense and maybe even the court, but there is no reason for juries to be too stupid (if not to selfish) to know that both sides and even the court may be in the wrong.

The Anti-Patriot Law

The US Patriot Act was another shameful moment in the history of the USA when the 44th President of The United States George W. Bush Jr. signed this into law just after 9/11 terrorist attack.

This means the feds can monitor people or even search places without a warrant.

Many groups who dared to disagree with the Bush Administration over the Illegal Invasion of Iraq were unfairly targeted by this.

The feds are still using such unethical means to search and seize, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

It was a feeble attempt to locate terrorists on American soil, when the only real terrorists were the feds.

I am proposing this law idea a means of combatting the Patriot Act, because it clearly isn't going to be abolished anytime soon, let alone those who invoke such a thing be sent to prison.

The idea is for anyone who has been a victim of the so-called Patriot Act can sue the feds for this betrayal of what America is supposed to stand for.
