- Shoutout a Vocal creator you recommend reading. Include the URL of a writer or story that inspired you and why.
- If you like a story another person has recommended, send that story's creator a like, leave a comment, and/or subscribe to them.
Please follow Vocal’s Community Guidelines and don’t spam your own profile or stories in the thread. We encourage the community to report users or comments that break these guidelines.
We'll start the thread:
Rebecca Siemering's Rabbit Rabbit deftly juxtaposes soft garden imagery with atrocities. Not for the faint of heart, the sensory details left us somber and yearning for peace.

My name is Taylor Ward I create poems of my personal experiences coded in metaphors and deep thoughts that run through my mind. A life marked with trauma I have turned to joy. I enjoy vivid imagery and an expression of intense emotions. https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/spectral-echoes%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E A writer who replied to my own writing was Cindy Calder. I read some of her work and it is also inspiring.
Howdy, partners! Y'all need to check out Lindsay Sfara's latest - https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/turtle-steps%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E All of her works are insightful, but I'm sure y'all agree once you read it that this poem is something special. So, mount y'all's hosses and giddy up to check it out! Why are y'all still reading this?
Hi, Andi here. I mostly write poetry, fiction, and horror. I recently found a Creator that I like and this piece deserves some attention: https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/art-of-accompaniment-gjkf0yrx%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
(I'm shouting) I write about self-help nonfiction in a way that's not boring and easy to incorporate into daily lives from my own experiences and I also write fiction poetry. I check the profiles of everyone who likes, comments, or subscribes to my stories and I enjoy reading pretty much every genre so feel free to leave a comment on my stories. I recently came across this poetry and loved it: https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/you-are-wonderful-extraordinary-and-more-have-you-realised-how-precious-you-are%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
I really loved this realistic and instructive piece I just read from Mike: https://shopping-feedback.today/fiction/listen-to-the-noise%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
wow nice content
Congrats on your top story.
Just dropping in to say Hi and such. Been off for a while, so read next to nothing by anyone. Will rectify that soon and have nothing really of any note or recommendation to offer. Sorry. Hope all is going well for others!
"Out!" I shout. Is that how this works? 🤔 Anyway, I write fiction that bends minds, turns stomachs and occasionally breaks hearts. This month I've been enjoying the glittering prose of Gael MacLean, including this incisive and deeply moving piece on climate inaction, which deserves more love and attention: https://shopping-feedback.today/earth/stumbling-towards-extinction%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">

Hey guys, I’m SnarkyLisa and I write stuff on life in general. I liked reading this article. It’s a fun, lighthearted read. https://shopping-feedback.today/fiction/danger-lurked#comment-70a11e42-d1be-4e86-becb-a984489c33c0%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
https://shopping-feedback.today/pride/yearnings-of-a-hidden-daughter%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E The above link is for a touching non-fiction account of a transgender woman and her close bond with her father growing up who sadly lost him to cancer yet maintains their closeness in her 💜.
I am dropping MikeyD.s cleverly composed bit of Poe and accompanyig tuneage #Queen that makes it even more witty.
Hello friends! Vocal has been a wonderful place for me to express my art in photography in a new and creative way. I love blending my work with poetry.
This is Sarah Parker. I pen writing advice, fiction, and poetry. I'll also provide a book review every now and again. D.J. Reddall's poetry (and other pieces) are all quite good. I especially enjoyed this one: https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/managed-decline%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
Randy here, a writer of poetry, fiction & other stuff. She's actually gotten quite a bit of positive attention and awards for her work here, but just in case some of you have missed it, I'll point it out here. Lily Séjor: https://shopping-feedback.today/authors/lily-sejor?page=1
Hi there 👋 This from Rock is splendid... https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/eye-for-an-eye-u88f0kps%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">

Lots of good stuff on his profile, but this most recent story from Fromm (hehe) is a great lesson in "the slow burn reveal" (even if it lacks the Taylor Swift references I was expecting based on the title): https://shopping-feedback.today/fiction/antihero-c8ec007s%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
Hi! My name is Shirley. I haven't been very active of late. I'm sorting through some areas in my life. Just wanted to let you all know about Jay Kantor, who I keep up with through e-mail. As you might have noticed, he's also been a bit quiet. He's had another fall, and this time dislocated his shoulder. He also found out he has pneumonia. He asked me to give you all his regards and to let you know he hasn't forgotten any of you, as he considers your friendship very valuable. Please keep him in your prayers. I'll keep you posted. And please forgive me for not reading your wonderful stories and poems as much as I'd like to. I'll be back soon, too.
I'm very glad to see this back. I had deleted my calendar reminders, though, while these Tues/Wednesday opportunities were going through their silent phase. Will check quickly to share some faves, even though the time allotted today has passed
Hello all :) My name is Gina and I write poetry and fantasy :) I wanted to share this Nonet by R.C. Taylor. It's rich, poignant, with a Greek Mythology twist :) https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/sisyphus-dreams%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
Good day, fine folks. Just popping in to say hi between loads of laundry. Fun, fun fun. Check out this outstanding nonet by Heather and I'll hopefully pop back later with more. https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/broken-things-qll02dw%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
Hi all, I'm in the middle of a personal yearlong challenge to write a microfiction story every day. A little past the middle now, actually 😁 I adored this poem by Cathy (I'm generally not a fan of poetry, but this one is terrific 😁) https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/kleenex%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
