📢 Raise Your Voice Thread: 06/05/2025
Champion your favorite creators

Our “Raise Your Voice Threads” are hosted most alternating Thursdays at 12PM ET to offer creators more avenues to uncover exceptional stories on Vocal. As we are continuously searching for fresh creators and inspiring stories, this thread provides an opportunity to exchange and discuss the stories that have moved and motivated us on Vocal.
How to join the 📢 Raise Your Voice Thread:
- Introduce yourself in the comment section of this story and tell us what you create on Vocal.
- Shoutout a Vocal creator you recommend reading. Include the URL of a writer or story that inspired you and why.
- If you like a story another person has recommended, send that story's creator a like, leave a comment, and/or subscribe to them.
Please follow Vocal’s Community Guidelines and don’t spam your own profile or stories in the thread. We encourage the community to report users or comments that break these guidelines.
We'll start the thread:
D. J. Reddall's Catastrophic Awareness is not loud or dramatic, just deeply unsettling, like realizing you don’t feel at home in your own life anymore. The voice is sharp, weary, and unexpectedly funny, which only makes its sense of loss hit harder.

I know this thread is a week old, but I just wanted to share this because I would love to see Carolina experience a wonderful success with her challenge. https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/the-500-reads-haiku-challenge%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
I recently tried giving feedback after dining at Long John Silver’s and found a helpful way to do it online. For anyone interested in sharing their experience and maybe earning rewards, I recommend checking out this <p><a href="https://mylongjohnsilversexperience.xyz/">Silver’s Guest Survey</a></p></form> page. It's a simple and quick process that helps improve service. I found the steps easy to follow, and it took just a few minutes. Sharing your thoughts can really make a difference in future visits.

Not to self-promote, just here to remind some people that your feelings matter and in you're not the problem! If you know someone that needs this message, tell them you're proud of them and never hesitate to help each other through tough times! This insightful poem was written a few months ago by my good friend, Debbi Lonmon. Deb lives in South Africa (SA). In the 1990s she (and her sister Jenni Lonmon were major rock stars in SA. They had a band named Little Sister. Five of their songs went to #1 on the charts in South Africa - they’re very well remembered there. Jenni lives here in the U.S. - as a matter of fact in Orange County, CA - not too far from me. Jenni and I are best of friends - I love her dearly. Jen’s and Deb’s mom was born only three days before my mom, Isabel. Their mom also is in the advanced stages of dementia and like me, Deb takes care of their mom. Deb has struggled - as I have. She grabs from within that inner struggle of emotions and sleep depravation when she writes. https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/silence-and-solitude%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">

Hi all most of you know me, for them that do not I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️ I love writing about all things funny, serious, daft. Heaven and Earth I am worth a read 😝💙😜🏆

Hello people. I am Paul. I poem about the place a lot. I also fiction a lot. I also clearly think that poem and fiction are verbs. So there's something. Anyway, Hope everyone is hanging tough for the right stuff - NKOTB references anyone? I shall return momentarily or so with some suggestions for Top Story, when really I think there are at least three things I've done recently that deserve it. lol. But....I will not be voting for my own.
