Understanding the Thinking Process
Thinking is Self-Hypnosis

Are you aware that you live in a hypnotic world? When you think, you are hypnotizing yourself. The words you use hypnotize you. Negative words will hypnotize you negatively, and positive words will hypnotize you positively. Do you know your ego must use words to present itself in the conscious mind? It is a product of self-hypnosis. It is the reason why people feel that they cannot stop thinking. They feel that they might disappear from the mind if they stop thinking.
The ego is the entity in the mind that wants to live forever. It does not want to disappear from the mind. It wants to be always in control of things. Thus, all the activities we are engaged in are a form of self-hypnosis where we are constantly using words to keep control of what we are doing. There is a fear of losing control if we do not do that.
For practically 24 hours a day, the ego is bathing in a sea of words. Sports, reading, writing, TV, media, mobile phones, rituals, festivals, etc., all keep the ego constantly occupied. Yes, when you use words, it takes you away from the timeless reality. We indeed live in a world of delusions.
But do you know that disappearing from the mind is a false fear? What happens to your ego if you stop thinking? Does the ego disappear from the mind? When you stop thinking, you do not disappear from the conscious mind. You switch from the thinker and the thought (the thinker thinking) mode to the observer and the observed (the observer observing) mode. The observer mode is a passive mode that the ego does not like. The habit is to stay in the thinker and the thought mode so the ego thinks it is always in control. This thinker and the thought mode is hypnotic and becomes a habit. It is the active mode that hypnotizes you and makes you stay in the conscious mind. It leads to delusion because words are derived using the mind's imaginative power. Thus, you can only create a world of delusions in this mode of thinking.
If you are searching for truth, you must switch to the observer and observed mode to meditate and acquire knowledge. Only in this mode can we understand and know how our mind works. The thinker and the thought mode is a delusional mode where one chases one's shadow for the rest of one's life.
To switch to the observer and the observed mode, you must first become aware of the present moment. Look at the picture of reality before you and understand what is happening inside and outside you without saying a single word. (Please read my article on Meditation). Once in this mode, you can now observe your thoughts and emotions. You will find that when you analyze or verbalize (say words), you activate them. If you stop verbalizing, the thoughts and emotions have no substance. They disappear. As you understand this process, you will gain control by understanding your thoughts and feelings. You can think when you want. You can manipulate your subconscious mind, replacing negative words with positive words. The idea is to learn to hypnotize yourself positively. This way, you acquire self-knowledge and learn to manipulate your subconscious mind to go in the right direction, thus becoming the master of your destiny.
Please understand that when you are aware of the present and your thinking process, it de-hypnotizes you. It leads you to understand your relationship with the timeless reality before you. As you become enlightened, an inbuilt intelligence in your mind will reset your thinking process from the thinker and the thought mode to the observer and the observed mode without the ego coming into the picture.
When I talk about the timeless reality, I refer to the timeless dimension that exists in the present as real as the time dimension of our creation. Only our perception separates us from it. Please do not take my word for it. It can be experienced anywhere and at any time, but the best way is to go to the mountaintop, get into the observer and the observed mode, and view the scene (the world) before you. When the observer in your mind and what is being observed becomes one, you will experience the timeless dimension and know what I am referring to. It has to be spontaneous, so please do not try to bring it on.
I want people to verify or disprove what I write in their minds, not just accept my word for it. Only then can you experience the truth in what I write, and you can become a true scientist. Truth has the power to transform you and change your perceptions. Be a true scientist.
Life will become eternal Meditation when your mind resets in the observer and the observed mode. I call it the Nirvana mode, which every retired person should experience before departing this world. As one can now see, our thinking process is hypnotic. Do you want to acquire self-knowledge and understand your relationship with the timeless reality while alive, or do you prefer to live in a world of delusions and chase your shadow until time grinds you to dust? It is your choice.
