humanity
Mental health is a fundamental right; the future of humanity depends on it.
Yes, anxiety and depression exist in POC communities
A common lesson I was taught by my parents during my childhood is that you won't know if you don't ask. Can I go over a friend's house to spend a night? I won't know unless I ask (but let's be real, the answer 98% of the time was no). As I aged into adulthood, that simple lesson was slowly forgotten until I realized that I still needed to ask questions to get a better understanding of aspects of life that affected me, including my mental health.

A Neurohacking Wish List for the Stuck Entrepreneur
Fiction isn’t really my thing, but hey, I gave it a go. I saw an ad for Vocal’s Little Black Book challenge and a half price entry fee of $4.95 per month. That’s doable I thought. Boom! Add to cart! If I won the challenge a cool $20,000 could be mine. All I had to do was think of a story that included a little black book and someone coming into $20000.

Grieving the end of Lockdown
I feel kind of insane, to be writing how I feel about this. Mainly because its 2AM and I can't sleep at all even though at 9:30 I was yawning like a housecat on xanex. I don' really know how I feel right now, so excuse this potential nonsesical explosion of words.

The nine secrets that torment us most
Most secrets are shy creatures. They bury themselves deep in the furthest corners of the memory and rest there quietly and contentedly. Some, however, rumble restlessly underground, and yet we keep them hidden. We fear that they may cause alienation, that we may be despised or laughed at because of them.

How social Media Grooms Consumers
The irony about deciding to enter this challenge is that the last thing I spent money on directly from an ad I saw on Social Media was my Vocal+ membership. Before that it was a package of amazing bath soak packets that are actually worth the ten dollars per bath, which I consider a splurge. They actually hold up to the hype. I have no regrets about dropping the cash for either of these things, but I won't be using one packet three times a week as per the company's recommendation. $120 a month on bathing seems a little excessive.
