Life as a depressed teen.
Let me start off by telling you why I am writing this: when I tell people I am depressed or I’m having trouble with my mental health, they think I’m ‘lazy’ and they tell me to ‘get over it’ I want to try and get people who do not suffer from mental health to understand what it’s like, so maybe when people like me do need to talk to someone they’re not scared to because they don’t want to be judged. So, this will be kind of like my own life story but I’m not going to leave out the bad parts; in fact, those are going to be the parts I want you to pay most attention to.

Superfoods That Help Alleviate Symptoms of Depression
Nutrition is one of the most overlooked aspects of mental health. There are many people who don’t realize or acknowledge the huge role that food plays in physical, emotional, and mental health. If you are struggling with depression, it may feel overwhelming to even think about eating the right foods. However, making a few small changes in your diet can help to reduce symptoms of depression and have a positive impact on your day to day life.

Bulimia nervosa and binge-eating disorders treatments.
Bulimia or binge-eating disorders are a serious condition that can affect someone for a very long time. It can affect anyone from any age or any gender and from any background. People who suffer from this disorder eat large volumes of food. Bulimia sufferers then try to compensate for binging by taking laxatives, diuretics or vomiting.

The explanation.
Explanation I guess this is where it really starts, this is more going to be more of a book and collection of stories from my life and my travels. I want this to be somewhere where people can come to and just escape for a few minutes of the day and feel a little bit better after they have read what I have to write. This place is going to be a collection of my own personal experiences from my life as I deal with what goes on in my life, there may be somethings that people feel uncomfortable reading but this for me is going to be a place where I can offload what I am feeling, how my day is going and what I have been up-to.

“It’s not you, it’s me...”
We’ve all heard that line; “it’s not you, it’s me”. And I don’t mean the typical excuse to get away from that creepy tinder date you’ve been meaning to get rid of. I’m talking about dealing with mental health in general when you’re in a relationship. If you’re lucky enough the person is supportive and understanding and everything you wanted but of course the overthinking kicks in. “Do they pity me? “I can tell they’re getting frustrated with me” “f*ck it, I should give up and never let anyone in again”. All these statements whirl around your head and at the time it makes sense.

I caught a loved one vomiting, or binging.
Bulimia and binge-eating disorders can be potentially life-threatening or life-limiting for anyone caught in the grips of the disease. People who binge-eat lose control of what and how much they eat and the intervals they leave between meals. This can lead to purging by excessive exercise, use of laxatives and diuretics and forced vomiting. [1]

The “S” word
Your mind probably jumped straight to the word “sex” but that’s definitely your own dirty mind.. I’m talking about the heart throbbing, awkward hand gesturing and the terrifying challenges of socialising. For some of you it comes natural, f*ck you if it does by the way and for those suffering from depression and/or anxiety I can already feel you scanning down this page desperately attempting to find “the answer” to end the suffering. Nope, just a conversation diving deep into mental health and some personal experiences of mine. They won’t dramatically transform your life into a perfect Rom-com but it might make you feel a little less lonely; knowing there are others exactly like you. Crazy right?

Eternally Avoiding
My life has turned into avoiding parties or triggers while still maintaining a job and remembering to take care of myself. I work so that I have money like everyone else but within any job I've had there are always stress response triggers, but I'm currently in a minefield of emotions and triggers since I work most closely with other women... Which I feel bad for avoiding the parties or talking to people because I would love to have a social life aside from work again.

The Day I Tried To Live
There is a special song by Soundgarden called “The Day I Tried To Live”. This particular song that was born from the Grunge scene of Seattle lifted me up from depression back in the late 2000s. The simple message of the song and how life can be a drag made me realize that one must move on and keep going. No matter at what cost, your soul has to keep going and try to live one day at a time.
