Journey of a Mad Man
Re-imagining existing Theories
Through moments of self-reflection, self-analysis, reading, and other observation methods I have re-imagined pre-existing theories and how they may be relatable to ones life (so far my own). My intention is merely to provide the reader (you) with what I’ve learned on my own journey. Should you find anything of use, then I am grateful. However, your path is yours and requires self-reflection & self-discovery.
Loss of Self-Reliance
It appears as though multiple aspects of life & the psyche are accessible through artificial or instantaneous methods. Nicotine, intimacy, alcohol, and caffeine are just a few of the methods. These aspects of life & the psyche include things like joy, serenity, energy, focus, pleasure, etc. and each method seems to govern one or multiple of these aspects. While these are naturally accessible to most beings, it would appear as though accessing them through artificial means can cause a detriment to ones ability to access them naturally. The more one becomes dependent upon a quick method to access what is already within themselves, the more they forget about its natural existence and how to call upon it. Self-dependence is thereby lost, yet can still be rediscovered.
To Whom much is Given, Much is Tested
The Universe & web of life provides what is needed (and at times what is desired) provided it is aligned with ones purpose and with what one can handle responsibly in that given moment. Why should one have superb health with poor hygiene? While we only live once, we also only get one vehicle to transport us through this life. Why should one be financially abundant if maintaining irresponsible financial practices? Spending large sums on what one enjoys provided it is within their means may not be irresponsible. However, shirking financial obligations (even temporarily) while spending unwisely in other matters is a completely different story and proves one is not yet ready for “the next step” in life.
While these examples seem as common knowledge, you’d be surprised. This applies to multiple aspects of life however, such as self-dependency, mental health, and even addictions. The case with addictions is a little tricky however. One could see the addiction as an attempt to replace a naturally accessed aspect of life with an artificial means of accessing it. One has inevitably become irresponsible in managing their inner being and it has been shut off from them. However, if one is able to realize what they are attempting to access, find it within themselves, and properly cultivate it then it may be allowed to flourish again. Life will then reopen the door to what is both within and without. A similar thing can be said about relationships. If one is unable see others as they are without seeking to gain and doesn’t properly manage the relationships in their lives, then the true beauty within them will be closed off to the individual. In order to allow these various aspects of life to flourish, one must tend to each seed they have been given as a master gardener attends to his/her own.
In Spirit
Spirit knows all, sees all, is all. Spirit masters all and flows through all. Spirit is timeless, formless, and unending. Yet, through the world is given form. Spirit is present in all will yet is the only will. Should you seek self-mastery, seek spirit. Be patient, however, for seeking to understand is not the same as knowing. One requires more effort, insight, and analysis. Merely open yourself to spirit and all shall be accomplished.
