In the stars, the Cancerian sign

So here goes, yes I'm a Cancer sign of the zodiac born of the cusp of Cancer and Leo. Cancerians are ruled by the moon and so their moods are affected by the tides.

Depending on what day, I display both that makes me a Cancer and Leo. When I display Cancer characteristics, I'm highly intuitive and dreamy, my head is in the clouds. I am very imaginative and I write poetry. Most cancerians are known to be artistic. I love music as well and my poetry is influenced by music, I recently published my first poetry book Verses Me but we're also known to be passionate about what we do. Everything is centered around our home and making it comfortable. Cancerians are known to love sweet and dairy foods white flour that are similar to the white color of the moon. We love to keep our stomachs and everyone else's stomachs full.

Cancer sign is known to be the mother of the Zodiac and I know that my friends consider me that figure. We are nurturing and care for the ones we love. We are highly protective over them like bears to their cubs. This protectiveness is often misunderstood for jealousy. I think it could be more territorial which is usually accompanied with the Leo nature.

We also have great emotional intelligence which is why I am empathic and I easily get drained since I absorb the energies and emotions of others. But I can sense when people are not ok and try to help as much as I can. Empaths make a minority of our population.

Cancerians are known to retrieve into the shell when vulnerable or hurt, which I do and I am trying to overcome. When I hurt, I withdraw and I am in hermit mode. This is the sign that is represented with the crab. We love water and anything that has to do with water, pools, lakes, beaches etc. On my birthday, I went to Virginia Beach last year, I was sitting on the sand by the ocean, I woke up early and sneaked away to the beach and watched the waves crashing on the shore and the sun beaming in my eyes as the picture above shows. Suddenly out of nowhere, crabs emerged from the sand, I said hello my friends, yes it’s my birthday, I am also a crab. Then they would run into a hole, in the sand but their eyes would peek at me and slowly creep out slowly and try again if it was safe...it's amazing how connected to nature are we..

I think the Leo in me comes out through leadership, I think I am a born leader though often I deny it. The Leo sign is resembled by the lion. The Leo represents strength and courage which I think I am most days, of course we get tired too. I am daring as well and take risks which explains the Leo in me. Both signs share loyalty and I am loyal to a fault. It's just me. I also walk alone for the most part like lions do, I’m a loner at times. Leaders walk alone. Its funny as well, Cancers and Leos get along well maybe this is why

The one thing that doesn't sit well with me is when they say Cancer signs are moody or too emotional, I don't think I am. I just have days when my energy is low and some days it's high, which depends on how rested I am or if I slept well or if I have eaten well. I think I am more sensitive than emotional, I have learned to ground my emotions well.

They say we choose our name and birthday before we enter this world and I believe I have chosen mine well..
