Today we all gathered here because of the internet. Apart from the endless possibilities, the internet has brought us a lot of problems. In this article, we have promised to address the issue of digital detoxification. And we kept our promise.

Digital detox is the time when the person consciously gives up various gadgets, computers, and phones, to get rid of stress, communicate with friends live, delve into work or the creative process.

Another method is media asceticism. It is a way of life when one understands the influence of advertising, the media, the media, and the essence of the internet itself. The media ascetic knows how to use them all, but without abusing them and without having a detrimental impact on his psyche and personality.

A good supplement to a healthy lifestyle, isn't it? You can become part of this current. Here's what to do about it:

# 1 Turns off the sound at all notifications

Only leave the ringtone connected (if necessary). Temporarily turn off the sound of other applications. Give yourself a chance to choose when to check your mail. She will not decide when to interrupt you from a conversation with living people, from important occupations (and not too much)… when to snatch you from your life, after all.

# 2 Get out of the house without a phone

When was the last time you did this? It's a risky step, not everyone can do that. However, if you decide to do so, warn all acquaintances that you will be out of the area for a while so that when you return home in front of the block, the ambulance, the fire truck, and the police car will not be waiting for you.

# 3 Close the social network refrigerator door after 6 p.m.

For many, it seems like a more aberrant idea than "don't eat after 6 o'clock." But if dinner is not to be ruled out (even if you want to lose weight), you already know, then it would be better to turn off social networks. "The social networks?! What are you saying?

Noooo… I can't do something like this ". Or will you still try? At least as an experiment, so that later on the social networks you can brag about the results of your courageous deed!

# 4 Stop reading the news unconsciously

It is usually best not to read them. They do not bring you good news, not because nothing good is happening, but because this is how the psyche of the consumers of the media product works. Negative news (as terrible as possible, with images, but also better with VIDEO) arouses a more lively interest and the desire to read, to be indignant, to criticize.

This is the purpose of the media - to capture attention, to arouse emotions, to get involved. Answer honestly, what will happen if you find out in which country a horrible case occurred today? Will your life be affected if you don't know this?

# 5 Organize a Local Detox

Some grandmothers understood how to deal with this scourge, and when the children with their grandchildren came, they took all their gadgets to the entrance. That's how grandmothers are. Learn from them. Seriously, at least periodically he spends time with his family without electronic devices. Remember!

# 6 Learn to focus

Do exercises to focus and give up technology. But too few will be able to lie down and meditate for an hour and a half, so here's an alternative: 60 seconds a day focus on a simple black dot on a white background. At that moment, free your brain from thoughts.

You may be surprised, but you don't want to succeed. Indeed, it is a very difficult task not to think about anything, it requires years of practice… after which you will release the brain of thoughts for only a few tens of seconds. Don't be tempted by uninvited thoughts, accept them with an inner smile, but BEWARE not to think.

# 7 Remember life

Don't forget about the physical world, the breaks while working on the computer, the body, and the breath. Don't forget about creation. Don't forget the ones you love. And the fact that you probably won't always have them with you.

And to the fact that in every second of life we invest in something: our strengths, our efforts, our knowledge, our abilities, our skills, our attention, our love, and our time. Now ask yourself: what will I get in return for the colossal investment in the digital world?

The good news. No one is urging you to follow all the above recommendations. It's probably impossible. But if you try to meet at least 3 of them in a week, then you will feel the difference in an emotional state and you will notice that you have more free time. Then you will be able to boast and reward your choice. Be sure to share your successes or difficulties in the comments!

What encourages you. The Internet has come into our lives relatively recently, and for now, it's like a science invasion without rules and regulations. But as the amount of information received increases, people will inevitably form certain filters. It is impossible to assimilate them all. It's not even necessary.

Each person over time develops his filtering system, each to some extent will become a media ascetic, will possess the skills and tools to prevent information overload. These rules will go unnoticed in every person's life.

But it is not necessary to wait until the mechanisms of evolution take effect, today we can be more aware and begin to live our lives to the fullest, spending more time here and now, feeling more, suffering, and rejoicing.

Deep down. You can become a living man right now.
