Enough sleep

Take a deep breath

Deep breathing supplies oxygen to your blood, this helps in clearing your mind. During these breaths concentrate on fully expanding your lungs.

Listen to music

If all the above do not work well for your situation try listening to your favourite music. Preferably calm music, which gives a positive effect on the brain and body at large, reducing blood pressure, and cortisol hormone levels which are linked to stress.

Maintain a good diet

Most people forget about their diets once they land into stress, maintaining a good diet will help one easily survive high-stress levels. Avoid sugary, fatty, and snack foods for a good stress management plan take plenty of fruits, vegetables, and fish; foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids have proved to reduce the symptoms of stress.

Stress hormones

There are two major hormones are cortisol and endorphins hormones, these body hormones have a direct impact on the body’s stress levels. The presence of cortisol hormones increases stress levels while the endorphins hormones suppress the cortisol reducing stress levels

Stress at the workplace

Many a time job stress may be physically and emotionally demanding stretching our capabilities, resources, or personal needs. To manage stress arising from working environments try as much as possible to track your stressors and appropriately respond to them by; Developing healthy responses, establishing boundaries with colleges, taking measures to relax and when need be talking to your immediate supervisor.

Stress during Pregnancy

Pregnancy comes with higher stress levels among women, this has seen many of the pregnant mothers being bitter or having resentment to some people. Here are some of the easy ways pregnant mothers can easily cope with stress; being mindful on what is about what is going on inside and outside yourself to bond and connect with your unborn baby. Practising pregnancy yoga that focuses on mental and physical wellbeing, buying time for relaxing or taking enough sleep and giving yourself time each day to rest and free your mind of worries. When needed is to have some therapies complement other strategies that are specific to soothe stress.

In any stressful situation it is important to know that conditions are ever the same and is therefore important to know and understand the situation you are in, then commit to a positive attitude that will boost your moods and leave you happy
