Does mediocrity choose you, or does your subconscious choose mediocrity?
People who do not dream must be mediocre, the original excellent how we slide into mediocrity

At work and in life, most of the time we want to make a name for ourselves. Even in the village, we want to be respected and made to feel good. But we are sad to find that no matter how strong our subjective desire, the end result we still very mediocre, not to become their own imagination of the people, which is why? My own short life experience, combined with all the information I get from reading books, suggests that it's not just external causes and birth defects, but our own unconscious choices for mediocrity. That's the paradox. On the surface, we don't want mediocrity, but why do we subconsciously choose mediocrity? Pragmatism demands immediate results, not a long-term, illusory future. In most cases, the current optimal choice is not the historical optimal choice. The overall reason is that our vision is often not long-term, only to see now, is far from the overall best judgment. Westerners in general like to take risks and are willing to give their best without knowing the outcome, so that even if not everyone can succeed, but after all out of the local minimum range. Too much emphasis on the practical benefits also limits the breadth and depth of our thinking, making us think about the problems around us rather than the broader issues.
We value the outcome far more than the process, the history of the victors gives us too many lessons, that must be a good outcome. Nobody really knows how to get a good ending. If the result is bad, the person is bad. When we evaluate a person, we often have one good and one bad, and this kind of binary thinking of black and white obliterates the complex and rich nature of human nature. When a man is in the limelight, many of us follow him and praise him, instead of looking at the process of his success and his real experience, or admiring the various spirits which are worth analyzing. We only look at the superficial things, this makes us often lose the opportunity to grow up. We can see the history of a variety of literature and history books, there are few objective, most one-sided. This culture is not suitable for all kinds of meaningful exploration, because we can not really respect the so-called losers.
The laziness of thought and behavior makes us mediocre. When we were growing up, the mind was lazy, unwilling to think about current problems and always expecting someone to give us a ready answer. Who says that the Chinese are diligent, diligent only in physical labor, but many times we do not want to use our brains. We waste too much time on little things and too much attention on our mouths. Lepaon of France, in his book The Rabble, examines this phenomenon in detail. Why a good man can be led to a dangerous place by a leader. This enlargement of the group mentality leads to the loss of individual self-independence and even pride in participating in it. In the day after day, year after year of life, gradually into which, unable to extricate themselves. The pressure of survival makes it physically and mentally tired, not the spirit of the past, but also for the efforts of the action, put all the words to the outside environment. This is a fickle society, in which not one can change; but you can change yourself, let yourself calm down to do a deep, thorough, to the extent that others can not add
Greed makes us mediocre, Charles Dickens wrote in A Tale of Two Cities: it was the best of times, it was the worst of times Our greed makes us always think about the maximization of profit, instead of choosing what we can do. Greed disturbs the peace of mind and confuses the eyes and the direction. Always waste a lot of time and resources in vain . We are not without the potential to become outstanding, it's not that we don't have what it takes to be useful people, that we end up being mediocre people, we end up being socially expendable, that's the result of our subconscious choices, that we're too realistic, that we're too focused on the outcome, we are too lazy, too greedy, therefore, for the mediocre outcome, we also seem to be“Happy” ground to face.
