This is Storm Cat

Introduction

Each time I go to Preston I try to visit Storm Cat. They provided inspiration for a Halloween poem of mine where their repurposed children's castle that you can see below.

This is their Facebook page where you can find out a lot more about them.

We have lost a lot of places like this in Newcastle such as Katmandu, and more recently Kazbat's Den:

In town though, the nearest we have is The Grordie Witch in the Eldon and The Little Bazaar in The Grainger Market.

Storm Cat Though

This is a great Lancashire Evening Post article about Storm Cat

I discovered Storm Cat on my first revisit to Preston in god knows how long, and loved the logo so I dropped in.

The place is just full of interesting stuff, check out their Facebook page. There is jewellery, clothes, pictures, badges, stickers and more. There is too much to describe even though the shop is quite compact, however, when I return in February they will have moved to bigger premises across the street.

This is gives you an idea of a little of the things you can find in there:

There are a lot of goth-styled accoutrements in there as well.

The thing I love about the place is that you feel you know everyone in there, they are welcoming, very chatty, knowledgeable and helpful, and you are not pressured to buy anything.

You drop into Storm Cat and you feel that you are truly among friends.

In my visits there I think I have been in there with customers and staff from most of any spectrum that you wish to apply and I felt welcomed and part of it.

Yesterday my day was packed but I am so glad that I made time to drop in, and it just made my day a little bit better.

I loved this street art next door to the currect shop

Conclusion

I would recommend you check them out, and due to their wonderful inclusivity I will include it in the Vocal Pride community, and if you are ever anywhere near Preston, drop in, you will love it, and always be welcomed.

I had to include "Lucifer Sam" as it is fairly appropriate I think and the video is awesome
