I was 17 years old and worked my butt off at school. I had a reasonable GPA (3.0) and worked part time at a local restaurant. After a year of working there I started smoking marijuana with one of my coworkers. We would smoke in the fridge, restrooms, the back(outside). Being that we would smoke wax out of a pen made it a lot easier to do so; we were always high on the job. It made our jobs much more enjoyable.

Want to Smoke at Work? Be an Artist
First, I would like to note that I am not here to argue the legality of weed in the work place. I am very much an advocate of both medical and recreational marijuana. That being said, there are definitely a few career paths in which you should not be smoking at work. For example, a surgeon should not be getting high to operate. One minor slip-up could lead to the loss of another human being. However, if a cook at McDonald's is stoned, the worst that could happen would be an error in my meal. Although that's annoying, I'll survive. So, the question to be asked is, "What job allows you to be stoned and productive?" And no, I am not talking about bud trimming at a dispensary. I am talking about art.

The Elegance of It
I step out of the car, shut the door, and hit the lock button. The sun is just starting to go down. For some reason my heart always start beating faster when I get to this point. Maybe it is because I still haven’t gotten used to this being okay. Sometimes it is so hard for me to believe that this is my life. This is one of those moments. Heart pounding, I take a deep breath and open the door. I am immediately met by bright light and white walls with posters. The room is narrow and somewhat long. On my right is a long row of brown leather chairs, every one of them in use. The wall across from the chairs and to my left has two check-in windows and two doors. I walk up to the closest window and I am met by a young blonde woman. She is pretty and sweet as she checks my I.D. and tells me the wait time. It will be fifteen minutes.
