Your Memory Lingers

A poem of loss

By Henry WatsonPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

Your Memory Lingers

I close my eyes, and it’s you I see, I feel,

Your memory lingers, in the depths of my heart,

You went to heaven, suddenly, and all too soon,

Your memory lingers, in your children’s hearts,

You helped so many people throughout your life,

Your memory lingers, in your friend’s hearts,

We all have been blessed by knowing you,

Your memory lingers, in the lives you touched,

You are missed every day, by me, our children,

And by everyone that knew you,

You have been our greatest gift,

Your memory lingers still,

Goodbye my love.

About the Creator

Henry Watson

I was told to start writng my feelings down as a way to move through my grief, so after a few poems of loss, I have started to write poems of love, and micro stories of romance.
