Your Chaos

The Devils Dance

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Evil came to dance with me

Under guise, of broken wing

Silence was his melody

He tried his best to make me sing

*

He wore anger on his face

He snapped a band around his wrist

Though I felt completely out of place

a spinning wheel caught in a twist

*

A ghost of ghosts once living

Now mere shadows craving flesh

No sin unconfessed need’s for forgiving

A genie, granting you a wish

*

A shock from out of nowhere

Sending waves of undue stress

A chance to move on, if you dare

Away from all this mess

*

Mayhem in all its glory

Comes to claim another soul

add another chapter to the story

destroying chaos with control

    Eerie and beautiful 💙Anneliese

  • Gotta be wary of those with broken wings. We never know their intentions. Awesome poem!

  • Kelli, is this an Allstate Insurance commercial? (Protecting you from mayhem.) It would be a really good one. (I like it. I'm not sure I get it, but I like it.)
