All I

Ever

Wa—-

Slash——

Wanted

Was

To dance with

Slash! Slice

you.

all I ever heard was your

cutting edge

As I danced

Across the

Room

My hair swinging

In your fist

Slice

hack!

Whack.

Whip! Of your belt cracked

Against my heart beat

I danced like no one was watching

But

You

Were

Watching

Me

Yes,

You

Saw me fly !

Whack, thwack

Whawp!

Aww, poor

“Melissa….”

Oh God, oh God, I’m sorry sorry sorry sorry (through a non-physical conversation over a well cooked homemade dinner I was making, almost in time for him to come home)

“Melissa….I can’t believe

I did that

——-slap!”

To

Your

Beautiful

Dying Swan pose (not my picture)

——fist of my hair tangled up with fury as I fall flat,

Face.

Spine-chilling. I like the way you used fonts to highlight the direction and severity of the blows - very good storytelling.
