Seraph-Dream-glossamer in lavender

To my muse in lemon balm

By Melissa IngoldsbyPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

did you saddle up the rest of the light inside the front of your old house, your concerto residing here

In our last exhumed conference of

Tattered longing,

Digging through a bunch of things,

A history of tattered old ties

With a grip too tight by a wife too strict

With flour on her hands from making biscuits from earlier,

Or a noose

With a lavender hold

A flower tied up like a necklace

Or a new set of stars

That got caught up in

In your heart locks,

Swinging like that old dusty swing outside

Your aunt’s lawn

Far away from the pool

Where you almost drowned.

Or an angelic voice

From what feels like heaven

Coming from your sound clouds

In a phone

Or a new message

Seraph-Dream-glossamer in lavender

You got me tangled up with reeds surrounding

A custom made stream

Built by God,

Laid down by your safe whispers

That feel like a perfectly roasted marshmallow

Toasted

Mellow

Stars in my mouth, lemonburst, jellybeans

And truffle oil

You mean everything

In my eyes,

Seraph-Dream-glossamer in lavender,

I hope one day

We can make our own kinda music

And it’ll taste like champagne

Chamomile,

Lavender,

Lemon,

A balm Of you & me.
