Things are never what they seem
Last month I wrote a story about my experience with dating sites:

Here is a poem I wrote about all the scammers that seem to pollute dating sites.

I’d like to step inside your mind,
Even for one day,
To see what bullshit I could find,
Is there any truth in what you say?
👨👨🦰👩👩🦳👨🦱👩🦰
You pretend that we’ll be cosy,
But I doubt that’s how it will be,
A life that is warm and rosy,
I don’t see that for you and me.
👨👨🦰👩👩🦳👨🦱👩🦰
You talk about the future,
And how different it will be,
Well, that sounds really super
But you’ve never set eyes on me!
👨👨🦰👩👩🦳👨🦱👩🦰
The new dance in conversation
Dance in sexy, small talk at best
Designed to stimulate my imagination,
And get me all obsessed.
👨👨🦰👩👩🦳👨🦱👩🦰
And then comes the clanger
Can you give me a few bucks
You’re nothing but a scammer
God, this dating game sucks!

There are lots of frogs out there. I am convinced they are made from different stuff. They know the game to make a man obsessed. Even worse that they practiced it a lot. Your poem brings a heartwarming perspective, in that you want something real. While real women are convinced men like you don't exist. Oh it's a mess out there, and I am so sorry that you're caught in the midst. I've been hoping that things would get better, even trying to find married couples I could look up to. But all are getting divorced 🤦🏾♀️. So even though it is in a different way. I do feel your pain. ❤️🤗

At least you are aware of the scammers! There are thousands of people scammed through those dating sites/apps and also through Facebook, Instagram, etc. There documentaries and lots of reports now emerging about the romance scams to warn people. One that comes to mind is Catfished on YouTube. They have patters and if you learn quickly you can identify those scammers very fast. Being skeptic is the best and never give away any money or personal information to any random "person" you don't know, no matter how much they try to convince you.
