Still Kickin’

Lyrical poetry

There's a crack in the world,

A rift in the valley,

And we’re all going down.

Ain’t no place to turn,

Ain’t no place to hide,

And we're all going down.

The crack is getting wider and

Were sinking for the third time around,

But were still kickin’ ,

And you won’t get us until it goes down.

Ladies doing hard sell, Men are robbing banks,

And we are all asking why.

Trying to make a living,

Doing what they can to get by.

Ain’t no use complaining, all you can do is try,

Because we are sinking in the shadows,

And one day we all must die.

But we’re still kickin’,

And you won’t get us, don’t even try,

No, you won’t get us until we die.

Till next time,

I love the reminder that even when the world’s cracking apart, there’s still a fight to keep kicking until the very end.
