You Drained My Heart

You destroyed my love

You Drained My Heart

You plugged your heart into my heart,

Drained it empty from the start.

Fed me whispers, soft and sweet,

A love that curled around deceit.

But when I asked of other names,

You shrugged, you smiled,

you played your games.

Then, with a sigh, so cold, so smart,

You said it’s time for us to part.

No tears, no fight, just one last glance,

As if love were a passing chance.

I begged for truth, you gave me lies,

Left me staring at silent skies.

For my heart’s pure gold, yours, dirty and cheap,

A love so shallow, never deep.

Yet through the wreckage, sharp and steep

I rise, I burn, I will not weep.

This is why one must be careful and try to make proper choices, but there are good ones out there somewhere. Good job.

  • These situations are so difficult to deal with if it is not our choice. Big hugs
