You Collided With My World

You ruined my orbit

You Collided With My World

You came like rot

dressed as warmth.

I mistook the stench

for something living.

I didn’t ask for light,

but you brought it.

just enough,

to show me what I’d lost.

Then you vanished.

Not a storm

a fracture.

The kind that doesn’t heal,

just deepens with time.

Now everything is quieter,

but never calm.

Just echoes

of a crash

that still hasn’t stopped.

I still speak in ruins,

still walk through the debris

of things I never meant to feel.

Your absence

has teeth.

It chews through the hours

while I pretend to breathe.

What you left behind

isn’t memory,

it’s a grave

I lie awake inside.

Hope doesn’t come here.

It knows better.

And I don’t call for it

anymore.

Good job and I think we all have moments like this.

I hope the crash fades to a hush someday… even if hope’s off the clock right now.
