You, Blue

You, Blue
Photo by Ben Sweet on Unsplash

I don’t have any words for you,

But you don’t need any.

Cheeks flushed I meet your glance across the room.

I am new,

You are old.

You stare at me with fascination,

I stare at you with adoration.

An elephant cartwheels in my stomach.

Time stops,

But we fly.

If I notice eye colour it is love,

Your eyes are blue.

Do you feel it too,

Or is it just me, myself, and I.

You choose my group,

You choose me.

I’m shy,

I try.

I can’t,

I don’t know how.

You’re slipping away

I love -

I love -

I love.
