You are not the one who writes poetry in meters?

I am free

By Kisama Riyo Published about a year ago 1 min read

I am not one of those who write poetry with meters

But I write to forget the pain of existence?

I write to overflow my senses with inspiration

And forget the pain that has colonized the conscience?

I do not play the violin if the melodies are scattered

Did I have songs with sweet words?

And that absent one said to me

: Don't you change the trees of the garden?

I said: Love made my heart a passionate lover

And my pulse humiliated me in the tragedies of the soul

So why don't you free me from my crime, O forgetfulness?

So that I do not become condemned

So that my eyes may fall asleep in the graveyard of sin

And my eyes may rest when my memory forgets you in delirium?

As if I forget a time that filled me with sorrows

How can I be tomorrow when tomorrow is drawn like a fallen corpse?

With your brush, O artist, you drew you all at once, O jailer

So why did my star lose its shine? Why did you incite meanings against it?

And ignite my soul, so it exploded the volcano?

And boil like a hurricane struck by rotation, so it lost its balance?

The sea is a little turbulent

Why did life test me and strip me of my hopes?

Whenever I moved, sadness visited me and made me a flood

Like a star that lost its way on its way, so my soul ordered it to fly?

I pitied myself when disobedience overcame me

O soul of my people, do not submit to aggression

To become humiliated and deprived in my homeland?

Aren't you one of those who write poetry and memorize the meters?
