Writing An Art Grant

Writing a book

with a hook

is not difficult

for the adult

or is it?

Oh, sh-t!

I am not writing Seussian

It is not an ordinary topic then

I have 5 days to write the grant

Maybe I am crazy and on a rant

Should I be writing this here now

I should know better than to allow

myself to go on and on and on

as on the 15th I will be writing until dawn!

My topic is iffy

It can take a year or two

and it won't be a jiffy

I can plan the time for 2 years to

get it done as the grant allows

I may have to take new vows

to keep the hubby happy

he can be sappy.

Let's get this thing written

and stop playing with the kitten

It is time to put a few things aside

and get down to business and not hide

or doing everything but what I need to do

I feel like the girl in the picture above, and so

I need to grow up and realize I can do this now

and I need not have to take a vow.
