If I told you about this darkness inside of me

Would you still look at me like I’m the sun?

If I told you about the nights when I’m weak

Would you tell me that I’m still strong?

If I told you how I hated the blackness of the night sky

Would you paint the stars for me?

If I told you how I felt so ugly

Would you tell me I’m beautiful?

If I told you how I hated myself so much

Would you still love me?

If I told you to leave

Would you stay?

And if you’re still standing here with me, saying all those things

Then you must be that someone

I’ve been searching my whole life for.

And I hope I never lose you.
