Worth Winning

The internal battles affect us all in different ways.

By Phillip Joseph DeHartPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I feel pressures eclipsing

Aware of what is ensuing

Tightening it’s grip

On the things of my choosing

The blood in my veins

Abused from polluting

I deeply want to change

But nothing else is amusing

I feel it’s transpiring

Intensions of looting

My wants and desires

Ripped as it sifts through me

I’ve triumphed before

The victory was very soothing

My enemy relentless

Regrouping and resuming

Reluctant for war

Against vices that rule me

But A battle worth winning

Is a battle worth losing

“Worth Winning”
