Minimalistic supervision

babysitter: television

Never noticed what was on

till they've clammed up, all withdrawn

*

Then - you question parental decisions

*

Dual families, days spent apart

when they return, you press - restart

Anything that they had learned

the attitude is off the charts

*

So, you focus - teaching this child

the world changes, with his smile

Building up his self esteem

so, he can grow and plan his dreams

*

Leaving the bullshit behind

*

Together color, reading some books

sharing dinner, he helped cook

Spending time figuring out

what this kid's all about

*

Never leaving needs overlooked

*

To change a life, just time to give

building strengths for him to live

The life that love helps to afford

the journey that he was born for

inspirational

Love the format. Had to read it twice to take it all in. The part that stood out for me was the nurturing.

  • Raising a child in a broken home that now is two, putting hurts & loneliness aside to do the best you can for him or her, it is a beautiful thing when parents are able to do that. That simple, uncomplicating desire to do what's best for them--you express it so well, Kelli.

  • I love the storytelling ✨💖😉
