Work On Yourself

An ode to bettering yourself

Every now and then you have to stop and work on yourself.

Often times you’re the one who’s bringing hurt on yourself.

Kinda hard to do when all you do is spend your time passing the blame.

When truth be told you’re the one who needs to be ashamed.

Maybe you’re not the person who creates problems.

It’s also not a stretch to say you elevate problems.

You wallow in self pity, stroking your precious fragility.

I think it’s time for you to start taking accountability.

You’re the main reason why you’re going insane.

Confront the truth and that’s the first step to easing the pain.

Assume responsibility and the flow of life will move better.

Work on yourself and surely you will do better.
