Words, words

I write words,

By Ali Sadeek AhmedPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Words, words

I write words,

I write them with my hand.

I cannot hold them back,

And my heart won’t calm down.

Rosy words

I speak rosy words,

And with the breeze they drift,

Lighting up the crystal,

And yearning for my affection.

I turn with it, all alone,

Seeing maidens from paradise,

Flirting and drifting by.

And in my wandering boat,

Lost in endless seas,

It neither stops nor rests,

No shore to hold it back,

No night to soothe its path.

Words from heaven

Their scent is fragrant and pure,

I listen and wish

They’d reach closed ears,

Resonating, echoing,

One ring after another.

The sea of words is deep,

It leaned in, took my hand,

And swore I’d not pass

Without awaiting its call.

I cried out, “O Sea of Goodness,

O Sea of Songs,

Lean toward me, quench me,

Let me drink of your love."

I write words.
