With the answer in mind
… I seek to understand the universe.
With every sense at my disposal,
I seek to understand the universe;
and as yet, despite my best proposal,
the answer’s still a question - still a curse!
.
I can taste its flavour, feel its rhythm
I can hear its music, see its colour;
and as yet, the answer’s still a schism
too wide to distinguish bright from duller.
.
Too incredible to at once believe…
Too infinite to simply comprehend…
Too voluminous to in parts perceive…
Too enormous to overall contend…
.
That which is beyond my comprehension
is the curious source of life’s intention.
