In the hope of winter we sleep at night
The fog faces us, leading the horses
And the frost hides if night comes
And drags its tail in the horizons
If the fog explodes like snow
It pursues the wishes we attain
And searches for paths to the morning, and bends
A carpet of threads spread by Layla
And if the cold meets longing
Loneliness sings to the early morning, oh woe
And the branch of longing dominates this morning
For no torrent meets longing
If the fog comes to the sky
The thread of frost sees in it a mountain
If the morning tramples on the visions of the Pleiades
For longing does not hide Suhail
Oh, why does the hope of frost tremble?
I took a mile towards the heights of longing
I welcomed the sun of this day with a good welcome
I drove away despair from you today at night
