Winter Hills

A Snowy Admirer

Stillness in the air,

The snow-capped mountains stand tall and bare,

The pure white blankets on the land,

A pristine canvas untouched by man,

.

I stare out the window,

Taking a moment to not be shallow,

A winter wonderland in view,

A breathtaking sight that feels brand new.

.

Away from screens and tension,

Nowhere for me to mention,

The chill in the air that awakens my senses,

The crisp wind whistles with no pretences,

.

I feel small, a mere speck in this vastness,

But in this moment, I find solace and oneness,

Behind I hear your voice,

A drink in hand, coming over to show me your choice.

.

A calmness surrounds me,

A moment of peace that sets me free,

A drink or two later,

We settle into your chamber.

.

Awoken by the morning snow,

So gentle and slow,

A caress from you, a reminder,

Like me, you're my admirer.

About the Creator

Soul576

I don't really write, much... or at all. I just thought I needed a place to remember where I've come from so I can move on to the future. I hope someone enjoys my writing, and hopefully it isn't too cringy.
