Will I?
Day 16/30: A series where I write a poem every single day for 30 days.

Will I ever get a chance to tell you what I feel?
Would you ever know what was it that didn't heal?
Would we ever be pushing those tiny swings and trains?
Will we ever talk about those lunchboxes again?
Will we ever see the shooting star and grant our wish?
Would I ever ask you about your favourite dish?
Will you ever see me the way I always have been?
Would my wish to be with you ever have a 'begin'?
Will I ever hold your hand and walk up to your home?
Would you ever put me a ring, and write me a poem?
Will we really forget the world and be lost in just us?
Would we ever meet up and talk, but nothing sad, thus?
Would you ever see me deliver those letters to you?
Would this dream of mine, ever come true?

Love this! It’s tender and full of those sweet, hopeful “what ifs” that tug at the heart. I could feel that hopeful pulse in every line.💖
So many questions, expressed with such tenderness, Your next poem could be one where the other person answers them. That would be interesting?
This felt so poignant and emotional. Loved your poem!
Lovely image, Maryam. Beautiful poem
