I saw him and I wanted to stay!
Day 15/30: A series where I write a poem every single day for 30 days.

I saw him on the street one day
I saw him and I wanted to stay
He was crying and I gave him a pat
He didn't ask me, but I was sat
He was broken for sure, I comforted him
He was hurt, but the air to me felt thin
I told him not to cry and he listened
I told him to stop, yet I was imprisoned
He never appeared on the street again
He was either gone or I treated his pain
But, I told me, that I wanted to stay
I said, I wanted to hear him say
A lot of things, A lot of pains
To share the heat, to share the rains
He disappeared, I wanted him not to go
He left, and I started to feel low
It's been years
I don't know how many
I've lost count
And I saw him in the street again
Either the wound opened or it was the pain
I saw him again and I wanted to stay
I wanted to ask many things, his way
He didn't ask but I healed him though
He recognised, but he didn't want to know
I offered tissues, healed the scar
He left again, disappeared like a star
.

Ah! to love someone in silence or without reciprocation - painful. Well done Maryam. And you are half way - you've got this babe!!!
It feels like a short film when I read it, very well written.
He seems like an ungrateful asshole though because he leaves once he's healed. Loved your poem! Also, where do you find these images for your cover pics?
Very lovely and sweet, Maryam <3
