Why Not Plant A Cherry Tree?

A question I ask to all who consume fruit but don't try to grow their own from it

Today I was given a very gracious chance,

One that struck me harder than a lance.

A neighbors cherry tree had just born fruit,

Shining like jewels they all were a beaut.

My neighbor said I could have all that I could carry,

This made my heart sing and feel all the more merry.

I soon filled a bowl and brought in back home,

My mouth soon watering and bubbling like foam.

Quickly I began to eat my beautiful spoils,

Making sure that it doesn't go rotten as it toils.

I spat all the seeds out in a cup in my hand,

Soon realization hit me with a scheme so grand.

People toss their seeds all the time,

Wouldn't growing your own tree be certainly sublime?

So the next time you eat a fruit of any little kind,

Whether it be spiny, pitted, or surrounded by a rind.

Ask yourself this question: why not grow that too?

That's a very good question. I have an empty garden atm, I should do it!
