Wholly Wars

The battle of balance within, between our dark and light.

By Pam HunsingerPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

“I’m down on my knees,

I’m surrendering.

I’m praying to the sky,

Tears falling from my eyes.

I ask for forgiveness,

I release the sickness.

Faith can you hear me?

My knees are bleeding.

My heart is in your hands,

I’m struggling to stand.

I’ve died so many times,

I’ve even taken flight.

The pain surfaces,

My head’s a circus.

Learning to love the madness,

Slowly heals the deep sadness.

But, sometimes the demons,

Come in changing seasons.

I will win the war they wage,

Even if they’re rattling my cage.

I know my light is strong within,

It guides me and I will not give in.”
